I'm in the U.S., and Mr. and I have both been getting the flu shot for years and years---and neither one of us has had the flu. When I remember how I felt last time I did have the flu, I'd much rather have the shot! Over here, most drugstores offer them at the pharmacy (for any age) for a fee. Even some workplaces offer them.

I don't blame you.The chemists offer them here also. I always tend to forget about the whole thing but now that you guys brought it up, I'll be thinking about it.

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

I worked with the IT guy all day yesterday, so I wasn't on here much. The kids went to youth at church last night, and I watched TV till I fell asleep. It might have been a boring evening, but I enjoy those once in a while.

Tomorrow morning I have a consultation with the doctor who is going to perform the "procedure" that we who hit 50 have to endure. Said procedure is scheduled for next Wednesday, so UGH. LOL

My throat is getting more sore by the hour and I am feeling a little achy. Took some Vitamin C and Zinc. Hoping to fight this thing of or at least get over it quickly if I can't.

Making plans for the new boiler to be installed. Apart from the shock of the expense it will be really good to have one of these modern ones. You can control it with a remote or mobile device like phone or tablet etc. I like the convenience of it all!

Hope you're having a good day so far! I am a little closer to Friday now that its almost 3pm. Is that the time!!!! Got to pick up my son !

Good morning MMC! Happy Friday Eve!! Ah, I love the sound of that!

I'm a little sleepy this morning. My friend came over last night - I didn't even realize it yesterday that it was 6 months ago (yesterday) that I lost my Dad! She brought me a beautiful lantern in his memory! She totally caught me off guard! It was very thoughtful! We sat out on the patio under the patio heater until 10:30 & had a couple Bud Light Limes! It was a nice night. Tonight a few girls are taking me out for my (belated) birthday. Should be fun, but I wish I wasn't so tired - I got about 7 1/2 hours of sleep last night, but I must not have slept great! Good thing tomorrow is Friday!

My Mom had a good day yesterday - here she is with her 2 new Great Grandbabies, Kate & Gavin! I just love this pic!

I did the same thing. The last thing my dad heard me say was complaining that Nancy wouldn't go with me to the mountains that weekend. Dad said he would go with me, but I was so irritated with Nancy, I told him to just forget about it. Then I went home and pouted some more.

Oh, to be able to take that back.

But I know he knew how much I loved him, even though the last time we spoke I was acting like a spoiled child.

I know your dad knew how much you loved him, too. I'm sorry for you loss, my friend. I know how much it hurts. Take care.
