Good morning from Wisconsin everyone! It's a babysitting day for me. I've been away, but thinking of all of you as our season nears. I hope you are all well.

Well, off to shower and prepare for a later shift at work. Taking my mom out shopping or at least for lunch tomorrow and on Sunday we have a 70th Birthday Party to attend for a friend who is battling Esophageal Cancer - he's seems to be doing well, hope he realizes people are celebrating his birthday because he's a great guy, not because he's going through chemo.

Keep a merry thought in your head! I'll catch up with y'all tomorrow. Have a great day!

Happy Rudolph Day and Friday friends! It's chilly here this morning and I'm wearing a scarf for the first time to work. It's more decorative than functional, BUT STILL. YAY!

Off to work...but should be finishing up not too late and enjoying a good birthday dinner with my husband tonight and tomorrow with a friend of his! So exciting. It's his birthday tomorrow! Hope you have a phenomenal day today--I'll check in as I can!

Good morning MMC! Happy Friday! Happy Rudolph Day! Happy Milestone Day! So much to celebrate!!!

It's another gorgeous day here. I wish this weather could stay & stay! Love it! I have been noticing some tree's starting to change just in this last week! I'll have to check out the tree's on the bike path at the lake this weekend!

I STILL don't have my fall decorations up. I am totally procrastinating! It's just too nice out! Gracie & I went for a cruise to the lake in the convertible last night. I brought a lot of our things out there for the weekend. It is just too nice to let the convertible sit in the garage. These nights are SO numbered!! Also made the bruschetta topping using HMG's recipe!

Good morning, everyone!

I am playing Art "teacher" today for the first time this school year. I am usually in here if this teacher is away. Her classes are always fairly decent. Thus far, it is no exception. In fact, this might be the quietest Art class I have had. It's impressive!

It is quite chilly in Canada's Capital today. Temperatures were barely into double digits (10c/50f) on my drive to work this morning. We should be reaching highs into the upper teens/low 60s today. For the weekend, it should be a little warmer. A great start to the first weekend of Autumn!

Today should be a fun today. It's Kim and I's old roommates wedding day. Mike is getting married in a small ceremony at City Hall. I am happy for him and his wife-to-be. Kim will be attending the ceremony. I, unfortunately, cannot due to the fact that only about 10 people can attend. However, I am very much looking forward to the celebratory dinner in the market.

Well, I hope you've all started off your Friday on a good note. Let's keep hitting that "refresh" button in hopes that Crown debuts what we've all been waiting for!!!

Whew, what a wonderfully multi-monikered day! It's also Homecoming at the kids' school.

Jacob has gotten involved (as a senior) in the seniors vs. juniors war. They've been taking turns toilet papering each others houses. Last night it was our turn. I pretended to be irritated at the mess, but Jacob loved being part of it, so I don't really mind. I did have to fish a lot of paper out of the pool, though. That's hard to do!

Lunch today with mom and my brother.

Incredible though it may seem, we have arrived at yet another Marker on our voyage toward Christmas Season 2015 and beyond.

Today's data:
Days to the Season: 49 (Seven weeks from today!)
Days to Christmas Day: 91 (Three months from today!)

Three quarters of the way back to Christmas.
My! My!
Will these incredible Milestones never end?
Well, to tell you the truth, there is only ONE more marker left between now and the start of the season and only TWO remain until Christmas Day!

A rain yesterday evening and overnight gave us a nice shot of needed moisture.
Today should see more of the wet stuff and cool temps.
We are currently at 66 degrees here under quite overcast skies.

I mixed it up last night & I added some feta & a small onion from the garden! Mmmm! I had a little taste & it was amazing!! The grocery didn't have any fresh basil so I had to use dried & I didn't have quite enough, so I added a little oregano too! I made the batch a little larger as I will be feeding 6 people tonight -good thing chicken breast were on sale yesterday! I'm excited to try it!!!

I usually double recipes so there are leftovers. Might as well, I'm going through the motions anyway. I think you're going to love it!

Thank you so much! Maybe I'll have to try this one next week!! I printed it off! I just looked up The Pioneer Woman's recipe -- that looks good too!

Thanks! We're a little early for the really beautiful colors, but it's always fun when you start hearing the leaves crunch under your bicycle tires anyway!
We do have fun. She loves her convertible ride...and her St. Bernard friend was out last night too! LOL!

Yes, my parents are coming up for a visit. We are planning board games, a trip to a winery tomorrow, long walks with Har & Jazzie, movies, deck time, and lots of good food!!

I submit my requests by the end of January for the year leaving a few unscheduled vacation days in case something unexpected pops up. I sure hope you get your well deserved time off, I suspect that things quiet down a bit closer to the holidays. This year I'll get 30 vacation days.

30 days! Good for you! 15 a year for me. It's not a place where you earn more with tenure.

So excited to see Eggnog in the stores!!! Have a great day xmas!

The dairy that made vanilla eggnog, my favorite, stopped making it last year. So I bought a stick blender and make my own, one fresh serving at a time! Funny, I was looking for it at the supermarket this week. I forgot they stopped making it. But that just means I don't have to wait. I can have eggnog whenever I decide the time is right! Maybe today!
