I love iced tea but can't stand hot tea. To me it's something you drink only if you're desperately sick. I'm a coffee addict though and there are those who don't get my obsession either so to each their own. :)

I drink both but mostly tea. Tea is just the culture here. I think it's because we are always so cold due to our awful weather! :D I never get into an argument about which is better either. To each their own. :)

:D yes I gathered that much. I've heard about and seen on food shows deep fried ice cream, mars bars etc. Everyone always seem to like it!
They were a popular item in downtown Vegas! Especially the deep fried twinkies ;)

Good morning Snowflake!
Maggie did pretty good last night, the antibiotic is definitely working. She woke up coughing a couple of times but was able to go back to sleep. I'm praying she continues to improve, I'll keep you posted!

Praying Maggie had another good night! xx

I think about gabulldawg's last post often and pray that all is well.
Me too! :(

Good Morning, MMC!!!! Wow!!! Internet connection on a Monday. Something is wrong here!!! LOL!!! It's going to be a warm day here with a high of 80 but tomorrow we get back to the fall weather for the rest of the week with high's in the 60's. There is even talk of frost next weekend. Things have been going okay here. Just been hitting the job hunt hard. Mom had another TIA over the weekend that led to us spending most of the day at the ER. They said there was really no reason to keep her though because they had already done all of the tests that they could. So they sent her home that night. She is getting around a little bit better today but still pretty shaky and having a hard time getting up out of the chair or couch by herself. In good news though, my niece in seattle who has the arthritis is finally showing enough improvement that they are going to take her off of her monthly infusions at the end of the year. The said her body just needs a break from the harsh meds. They know she will eventually flair and have to go back on them but hopefully she is able to go for quite a while before then. Well I better get back to the job hunt while I actually have connection. You are all in my thoughts and prayers daily. I hoping everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

Whew - having a hard time getting caught up this morning!

My boss just had TWO mice in his trash can - both alive!! EEEK!

I hope you had a wonderful Anniversary!!!
My BIL is a mechanic & when the check engine light comes on, his recommendation is to cover it up with black electrical tape! :p But seriously - I hope it's nothing serious!
Thanks! We just spent our anniversary together at home. We have an appointment to get the car checked out Wednesday. It got us home with no trouble at all, so it shouldn't be anything serious.

I saw some people had mentioned Dawg. I spent hours searching for any news that something bad may have happened and never found anything. I tried sending him an email to the account that he had linked here but it had been closed and the email was returned. I found him on facebook and sent him a message and friend request and never heard back. So hopefully he is okay and just taking a break from the internet for awhile.

I don't think the american Twinings is the same from what I've tasted unless they are now. Hard to say. PG tips do a one cup blend which some people prefer as it's a little milder. Not sure if you get that there. I really fancy Lipton actually but it's not a brand you get here. Not sure if you get that in your area.

All this talk about tea. I think it's time for a brew.
I haven't had tea this morning yet either!

The PG Tips I buy is one teabag per serving (the pyramid-shaped bags). That's probably the same as your one-cup blend. If I make two servings, I just use two bags---I don't throw in "one for the pot."

Lipton is a major brand over here---probably THE major brand. It's what you see everywhere. Some of the other usual brands are Tetley, Salada, and Red Rose. But nearly everybody sells Lipton.

Mr. is the same way ... he only drinks tea when he's not feeling well. No sugar, no milk, no honey, no lemon, just straight tea, as though it's medicine. But for me, hot tea with a bit of sugar and milk is comfort food. Coffee, though ... never learned to like it.
