Christmas Countdown - 2015

I drink both but mostly tea. Tea is just the culture here. I think it's because we are always so cold due to our awful weather! I never get into an argument about which is better either. To each their own.

No arguments here as long as I can keep my coffee .

Good Morning, MMC!!!! Wow!!! Internet connection on a Monday. Something is wrong here!!! LOL!!! It's going to be a warm day here with a high of 80 but tomorrow we get back to the fall weather for the rest of the week with high's in the 60's. There is even talk of frost next weekend. Things have been going okay here. Just been hitting the job hunt hard. Mom had another TIA over the weekend that led to us spending most of the day at the ER. They said there was really no reason to keep her though because they had already done all of the tests that they could. So they sent her home that night. She is getting around a little bit better today but still pretty shaky and having a hard time getting up out of the chair or couch by herself. In good news though, my niece in seattle who has the arthritis is finally showing enough improvement that they are going to take her off of her monthly infusions at the end of the year. The said her body just needs a break from the harsh meds. They know she will eventually flair and have to go back on them but hopefully she is able to go for quite a while before then. Well I better get back to the job hunt while I actually have connection. You are all in my thoughts and prayers daily. I hoping everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

Whew - having a hard time getting caught up this morning!

My boss just had TWO mice in his trash can - both alive!! EEEK!

Holiday as you ran the opposite way from them you know they did the same and ran the opposite way from you right? Put yourself in the mouse's shoes...he's way smaller than you.

Mr. is the same way ... he only drinks tea when he's not feeling well. No sugar, no milk, no honey, no lemon, just straight tea, as though it's medicine. But for me, hot tea with a bit of sugar and milk is comfort food. Coffee, though ... never learned to like it.

I was brought up on coffee as a kid. My family basically forced it on me as the "drink."

My dad always preferred hot Lipton tea, but I can't stand the stuff. I tried some Earl Grey one time (because Capt. Picard likes it!), but it was awful.

I recommend you give coffee another try!

Good morning, everyone!

It is an overcast, yet warm Sunday in Cornwall. Temperatures are currently 12c/54f with highs reaching 18c/64f or even 20c/68f with humidex. Yes, a humidex on (Canadian) Thanksgiving weekend!

Due to Kim's sister having to be at the football field today, we had a delicious Thanksgiving dinner last night with all of Kim's family (about 30 people). Speaking of football, we are heading to the field to watch Kim's nephews play. Apparently, I need to get ready.

It's 20c here today and sunny, lovely weather - supposed to rain tomorrow. Somehow dad didn't get the memo so tonight there is no turkey dinner with my folks. Visited earlier with them before my dad had to head out for the last golf game of the season, but my husband got a slice of apple pie and they exchanged birthday gifts and we had a good visit. Meatloaf is on the menu for a non-traditional Thanksgiving dinner.

I've been to a few and always enjoy the expressions on children's faces when they're admiring large pumpkins, turkeys and decorations. My granddaughter freaked out over a barking dark one year, but didn't scream at the crazy guy coming out of the bushes with a chainsaw.

Haha kids are funny and awesome. Reminds me of this girl I went to school with who now has a 5 year old. They were staying alone in a hotel and the kid wanted to go around giving out their hotel room number to her "friends" (aka random people she saw in the hotel). Her mom said that's not a good idea because what if it was a serial killer. The daughter's response "mom why would anyone want to kill CEREAL?"

My husband caught wind of my merry tunes on our early morning Fall drive. When I popped in here, he said, "Let me guess; you're on there talkin' Christmas". (No guessing required.) You're right though, Christmas tunes will be emitting from more speakers soon.

I long to go back to Ireland for another visit; I promise to stay awake even with a little Jet-leg and enjoy the beautiful hedges, rose bushes, poppy fields, sheep and cattle crossings without a word of complaint. He mentioned he wasn't well and was going to get himself to the hospital to see what was happening so I'm surprised he hasn't popped back in since February - hopefully, he got busy and forgot about his last post and will be along soon to celebrate the official start of the "season" with us.
