I am in real estate development. Right now, I'm coordinating a new build hotel. Keeps me busy & on my toes.

Sounds really cool! I am sure that the hotel will have great Christmas decorations too

I used to take off Wednesdays some time...it's actually a great way to break up the long week.

Yeah, I am really looking forward to it. I'll make sure to share how it was, especially compared to Monday off

I found out that the John Adams christmas advert will premiere on Friday (most of you will understand the excitement)! In addition to that, on Saturday the city will switch on the christmas lights to open the season! It's a big deal with thousands of people and celebrity appearances!! Great way to end the first week in november and kick off the season!

The Halloween decorations are down and the Christmas decorations are making their arrival in my house!

Well on another note, I received a response from the job interview that I went on this past Wednesday, they told me that the top 3 owners met and all agreed that they want for me to come on board, but not yet. The would like for me to wait until they re-evaluate their fiscal position as a company in January and in-between now and then, if someone leaves or something changes, I am #1 on their list to be hired. So, good and not so good news overall. Basically, stand-by and wait~

Well hopefully they get back to you quickly, especially if it something you really want to do and a place you want to work.

My eldest who is 8yrs just asked me if Santa was real and wondered if it was dad and I who put the presents under the tree.

Obviously I said yes that Santa is real. Hopefully I have at least another year before we have 'the talk' and I explain that Santa is real just not in the way he thinks.

Good morning snowflake! "Happy Monday!" Hope your week has started off great too!! (and Miss Har's too!)
I can't believe it was our last weekend at the lake, but we already have plans to meet up with our lake neighbors in 2 weeks, then again Thanksgiving weekend...then again Dec. 5th...all of the above involve Christmas outings!! Next weekend is my future nieces shower & bachelorette party, the 21st is the wedding...time is going to fly!!!

Thanks. I know. Kids are resilient. He will probably figure out long before he lets on to us. I am going to try and hold on to it as long as I can though. My youngest just turned 4 so he has no doubts yet. I guess it pulls on my heart strings because it's also a sign that he is growing up!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's wet and warm and yucky around here today...BUT IT'S NOVEMBER!!

Saturday was a big day for me. My brother and I sold the engine out of my Camaro to a guy who was willing to pay big $$ for it, so I spent several hours unbolting it from the car, getting it ready to go.

Then we did the Trick-or-Treat in Bellville. It was my first year with both of my kids feeling they were finally too old to T-or-T. Sad! But Jacob helped me hand out candy, and talked about stuff for a couple hours, so I enjoyed that.

That night, we went to a local restaurant owned by an old friend of mine. We've both played in different bands for years, but his current band is his children. It sounds hokey, but NOT! They rolled out! They were playing songs from Journey, Heart, Kansas...all those old wonderful early-80's bands. I LOVED IT!! Then Jacob's guitar teacher's band got up and played. Another great show!

The only negative through the weekend was my twice-failed efforts to close and cover the pool. Grrrr.

Happy November everyone, I feel like the season has officially begun now. Got 8 family members coming out to the southern tier of NY for Thanksgiving, well 9 if you include my brother's dog. Will be nice to have family around the table again.
You know how sometimes that special someone in your life will do little things to show they love you? Sometimes it will be a card or a note or just the fact that they will make your coffee before you get up in the morning, my hubby doesn't do cards or notes, he does do coffee, but the thing he does is even better, he sent me links to ABC's holiday tv schedule and for ABC Family as well because he knows how much I love Christmas!

That sounds like a fun Thanksgiving celebration! That as sweet of your hubby!

Well, my birthday boy just got up. Yup, 23 today! Sheezzz, I'm getting old!!! We will be taking him to the Melting Pot tonight for his birthday dinner tonight. My gosh, can't believe how time has flown by, he's taller than I am now.....

I'm having Thanksgiving, for my side. They are making the trip up north.
My parents are snowbirds in AZ, and are leaving earlier this year, so we are celebrating both with my side over Thanksgiving.
I will still make a big dinner for Adi & I for Christmas, but won't have a to of people. We usually invite neighbors, and friends over, who don't have family in the area, too.

I have the best wife ever! Ok, so I mentioned before that we would start putting up Christmas decor next Friday. Well, last night my wife came home from taking our youngest trick-or-treating with his cousins. She then said she had an idea... so to make a long story short, the Christmas tree in our bedroom was put up last night as we watched Christmas with the Kranks.
We had put up a Christmas tree on Halloween 10 years ago when were were still dating.
This morning, my youngest son (Henry) who LOVES eggnogg, and I had created a plan to go get eggnogg as soon as we woke up. So that is what we did.
Let the Christmas season begin!!!

My hubby and I took the grandkids out Trick or Treating and had a blast!!! I love staying home to hand out candy but I love Trick or Treating more! We listened to a couple of spooky radio broadcast that MerryCarey suggested to us on our drive, it was nice!

Do you all remember recently I set up the tree to see if it will fit in an area of my den when I rearranged furniture? Everyone said to just to leave it up since I planned to have it up November 1st, thanks to your votes on that. I had decorated it with fall garland for now. It's still up and now turned on the colorful lights, fall garland will come down and the Christmas decor will go up! Yay!

Morning all and belated happy Halloween to one and all. Due to circumstances beyond my control ( crazy work and family duties ) I've not been on here in a few weeks. Looks like Christmas has arrive then. Can't wait to jump straight in.

Well, my birthday boy just got up. Yup, 23 today! Sheezzz, I'm getting old!!! We will be taking him to the Melting Pot tonight for his birthday dinner tonight. My gosh, can't believe how time has flown by, he's taller than I am now.....

my birthday boy is out for lunch with a friend today, he is 28 already !
We had his birthday celebration yesterday when everyone was home.
