Christmas Countdown - 2015

Hi Everyone! I just could not make it through the countdown last night. I kept falling asleep, so I called it a night. But it was so exciting and I just finished reading through everyone's comments. I am so happy we are starting the Christmas season together!
We have had snow flurries on and off here for most of the day. It is cloudy and a bit gloomy, but I kinda like it. I just make another hot drink and keep on truckin'.

Our weather started out sunny this morning---for the first time in three days---but it clouded up and rained again this afternoon. And they're calling for cold, windy weather tomorrow. So I will join you in that hot drink!

I have finally got the gas to the cooker reconnected! He came at 5pm and almost didn't make it. I have been waiting all day!

Tonight I plan on watching some christmas movies and relaxing with a mulled cider and new spiced apple candle! Bliss!

Good Evening MMC! I hope you all are having a great 1st day of the Christmas season. It was a pretty good day at work and now I'm home this Friday evening relaxing. Not much better than it being a Friday evening, with good food, my dog, relaxing and officially Christmas season.

You're right Made. But that's a big reason why I love this site so much. Through tough, scary, crazy times in the world this site is a positive good feeling place.

Just watching the news. Shocking scenes. Paris is my favourite city, never thought I'd see the likes of this. Heartbreaking.

Absolutely tis. Just so shocked and appalled. We live in a world where things don't make sense much of the time.

Praying for Paris and for all places where people don't know peace in the world tonight. Our world can be scary and confusing at times. I'm grateful for small comforts like Christmas music and a basketball game to watch tonight. Can't immerse ourselves in the news without completely getting lost in the sadness of it. Thankful for the love and community we share here. That love and community sheds light in dark times in the world. Our community is how it should be...and I just pray that the world would know peace like we know one day.
