I went over to the Mall yesterday.

I was on a mission to buy what I wanted from Davids Tea and Marie Claire (clothing store) with the gift cards my husband gave me. Bought a few groceries and cleaning supplies and left without any Christmas stuff.

I still have plenty of gift wrap and festive tissue, a box of greeting cards and Scotch Tape. Nothing jumped out shouting, "take me home".

It was a nice vacation from work and the time spent with family was fun, but the time spent here always brings great joy because we share such a wonderful bond that stems from our love of all things Christmas.

We've chatted with each other, prayed for one another, greeted new friends, cheered for our good news posts, welcomed new furbabies, bid farewell to others, shared some film clips and musical loves, recipes, etc. and for us the Christmas spirit remains dear all year.

Joy is another word that says thanks with gratitude in giving and receiving with a merry heart; I join you in opening the MMC doors wide to let the merry spirit reside.

Peace and joy come to you!
Beautifully stated, AMD ❤️
I love your Christmas spirit!

Good Morning....happy Sunday! We are planning another low key day of relaxing, which is fine with me. I think we are going to go to church later and I may make a nice Sunday dinner...not sure what yet. Tomorrow our temps are getting cold and we may get a couple of inches of snow. Enjoy your day! image.jpeg

Merry Sunday, SnowflakeMom!
Enjoy your relaxing day, it sounds lovely :)

I'm thinking of getting one of those live hanging plants and putting clear lights on it. That way, if I get too lonely for Christmas I can turn them on, light a candle and play Christmas music. yeah.

snowberry (who thanks Jesus for reminding me to come visit MMC)

Today we light a candle and play Christmas music for snowberry.

Hers was a kind and genteel soul like no other. Frances was one of the first folks I met online when joining Christmas.com in 2004. She was also an author of Christian books and was gracious to inscribe one of the books I gave my wife for Christmas one year.

Snowberry (screen name changed from Holly) was member # 28 at Christmas.com registering on November 17, 2001. Nearly every post she made ended with thanking Jesus.

Frances Devine passed away this morning, December 26, 2015.

Thanks for sharing this sad news. A merry friend has departed after a few years of health problems, but she never let go of her Christmas spirit or her love for Jesus.

Morning!!! What has everybody got planned for today (don't ANYBODY say taking down their tree!)? I'm working this afternoon - somebody is getting married at 3 so will have to get my behind in gear and dig out fancier clothes than jeans and a hoodie!!! Have a great day whatever you're doing :)

Good Morning/Afternoon Maureen. Just wrapping up breakfast with the Mrs' family then heading home (3.5hr drive) then having the Packer game on while her kids open their presents (they were with their dad this year for Christmas) our tree/decorations won't come down until Jan 6th. Have a good time at the wedding and I hope everyone had a great day!!

Sean

Good Morning!
Christmas Season 2015 goes on. Hope you are still enjoying it.

But get your posts in while you can, Guys. This thread shuts down promptly at 12:00 AM January 1, in preparation for the launch of "Christmas Countdown - 2016", when we start it all over again with a new year!

Looking forward to another 365 -- er -- 366 days of gleeful counting!

:jump:jump:jump One more day to celebrate with everyone his year!!

Merry Christmas to you~
Hope you have a nice Sunday!

Not much ... been catching up a bit on post-Christmas "paperwork"---updating "give" and "got" lists, making notes of things to do and buy for next year, etc. I'll be doing that little by little for a few days. Mostly I just want to relax and enjoy some more Christmas glow.

Relaxation is on the agenda, before getting back to the real world tomorrow.
That's the sort of thing I have in mind! Pick out a movie and make some tea ...

I see that many are going back to work tomorrow.
Here in Norway Christmas starts on Christmas Eve, and it last for the next 13 days.
So we have Christmas Vacation until January 4th
Lots of food, goodies, relaxing, dinners, family gatherings + + + every day

New Years Eve is also a BIG day here.
Lots of people, food (turkey) and lots and lots of fireworks at midnight.
We are spending NYE here, and Im making turkey =)
A long Christmas celebration---that's as it should be. That all sounds SO good! Have a blast!

Seems like many people in the USA stop celebrating the minute Christmas Day is over. That's what generates PCBs for me. I'm glad I have a two-day workweek before plunging into the everyday world of 2016! Right now I'm thinking ahead to plans for the next Christmas, and it's keeping me afloat.

I had a shower with a small spider. Sorry, he didn't get to spend Boxing Day with his family. I don't mind if they stay in the corner and do their jobs of catching other critters, but I refuse to share my shower with spiders.
I agree with you on that!
(Did you ever hear Michael Flanders' song about the spider in the bath?)
