Not much ... been catching up a bit on post-Christmas "paperwork"---updating "give" and "got" lists, making notes of things to do and buy for next year, etc. I'll be doing that little by little for a few days. Mostly I just want to relax and enjoy some more Christmas glow.

That's the sort of thing I have in mind! Pick out a movie and make some tea ...

A long Christmas celebration---that's as it should be. That all sounds SO good! Have a blast!

Seems like many people in the USA stop celebrating the minute Christmas Day is over. That's what generates PCBs for me. I'm glad I have a two-day workweek before plunging into the everyday world of 2016! Right now I'm thinking ahead to plans for the next Christmas, and it's keeping me afloat.
Hope you have a lovely day!
Enjoy the peaceful afternoon.

Good morning everyone. We have a wintery mix going on outside. Rained all day yesterday but looks like it's transitioning to freezing rain/sleet type situation. Believe it or not, we had tornadoes in the state yesterday! But not like they did in Texas. A horrible situation for those folks in Garland. So sad.
I hope you all have a wonderful day. We are still trying to figure out where to put all my daughter's new toys. :) My son got lots of video games, so no need to find space for those. But the toys...they take up so much room!
Merry Sunday!
sometime before Christmas when my kids were small, I would go through their toys and get rid of all the broken, missing pieces ones. Then after Christmas I would put away most of the still good old toys leaving them with just the new ones. In the summer the "new ones" went in the box and the old ones out for play. They were thrilled thinking they had all new toys to play with. This worked great to make sure there was never to many laying around to have to clean up.

I went over to the Mall yesterday.

I was on a mission to buy what I wanted from Davids Tea and Marie Claire (clothing store) with the gift cards my husband gave me. Bought a few groceries and cleaning supplies and left without any Christmas stuff.

I still have plenty of gift wrap and festive tissue, a box of greeting cards and Scotch Tape. Nothing jumped out shouting, "take me home".

It was a nice vacation from work and the time spent with family was fun, but the time spent here always brings great joy because we share such a wonderful bond that stems from our love of all things Christmas.

We've chatted with each other, prayed for one another, greeted new friends, cheered for our good news posts, welcomed new furbabies, bid farewell to others, shared some film clips and musical loves, recipes, etc. and for us the Christmas spirit remains dear all year.

Joy is another word that says thanks with gratitude in giving and receiving with a merry heart; I join you in opening the MMC doors wide to let the merry spirit reside.

Peace and joy come to you!
thankyou, so nicely said and so very true !

Good Morning....happy Sunday! We are planning another low key day of relaxing, which is fine with me. I think we are going to go to church later and I may make a nice Sunday dinner...not sure what yet. Tomorrow our temps are getting cold and we may get a couple of inches of snow. Enjoy your day! I love layed back Sundays like this. Had my girls over for awhile after church, but LittlCS was having to much back pain again to stay long.
No Sunday dinner here as we still have some leftovers to finish off and will just graze instead.
Enjoy your day !

Today we light a candle and play Christmas music for snowberry.

Hers was a kind and genteel soul like no other. Frances was one of the first folks I met online when joining Christmas.com in 2004. She was also an author of Christian books and was gracious to inscribe one of the books I gave my wife for Christmas one year.

Snowberry (screen name changed from Holly) was member # 28 at Christmas.com registering on November 17, 2001. Nearly every post she made ended with thanking Jesus.

Frances Devine passed away this morning, December 26, 2015.

RJD (who thanks Jesus for snowberry and people like her!)
So sorry for your loss, thanks for sharing the memories of this wonderful lady. ((((HIUGS))))) to you as you remember her.

I agree with you on that!
(Did you ever hear Michael Flanders' song about the spider in the bath?)

So sorry to hear of your loss ... I would like to have known her. God bless her.

I'm hoping that Holiday, Crown, Binger, and other Christmas.comers will notice. Snowberry was there to greet every one of us!

Hi Gang .. Hope everyone had a great Christmas. Our Christmas was nice although it didn't "feel" like Christmas. Sorry I haven't been around much, The last few months had been chaotic to say the least ... We sold our old home in the beginning of Oct but didn't go to settlement until the end of Oct with our new home so that killed any chance of decorating for fall, halloween and Thanksgiving. We got the house unpacked and ready to go just in time to host Thanksgiving. My mom hurt herself and was admitted to the hospital Thanksgiving weekend. She spent 2 weeks in the hospital for a fracture and diabetic issues and 1 1/2 weeks in rehab. She came home 2 days before Christmas :) but she still has a long recovery. So between moving and dealing with the hospital/rehab on a daily bases that took up a lot of our time and that meant little time for shopping and decorating. The whole family agrees that we missed the much loved lead up to the holidays and add in the extremely warm temps it really didn't feel like Christmas at all.

I am going to spend the next week working on a holiday notebook/binder that will help us prepare for and stay organized for all the major holidays and kids birthdays. Going to make more of an effort to stay active in here too .. I so have missed being an active part of the group. It really is the little things that make the holidays more enjoyable.

What kind of video games? Is he into the PS, WII, Xbox?

It's been a relaxing day here too...well I went for a nice walk with a friend to talk about the year etc. Kinda reflective and looking ahead. Fortunately I'm only working Monday and Tuesday so...not so bad to go back to work for 2 days to have 5 days off. I hope you all have had a great Christmas week. For those of you who miss it or didn't have the best Christmas week ever just remember we can start working on 2016 already!

It's vacation time for the reindeer too now that Christmas is over.

I'm sure they experienced quite a bit of turbulance on their journey; they've earned their R and R as has Santa and the merry trackers.

Congrats on the new home, sorry about your mother. Well wishes and prayers for her! There's an extra day next year to be prepared for Christmas so you'll be extra ready then!! Merry Christmas Minta!!

It's great to see you again and sorry to hear of your moms health concerns; I went down that road with my mom a few times, but never at Christmas. Hope you enjoy the new home and look forward to reading about your plans for Christmas 2016 as time goes by.

we are now under a winter storm watch for tomorrow. Something coming up from Texas way .
Stay safe!

We have a winter storm warning starting tomorrow afternoon, through Tuesday morning. Significant snow possible, we will see. Too bad it couldn't have been while we were home for the holidays.

Be safe, CS! We are under the same watch. I have to go to Saginaw tomorrow ~ it will be real fun getting home if the ice hits like the forecast is saying it will.
