Hey everybody!!! So, it's Sunday, my son has headed off back home (3 hour drive) and please find attached a pic of my road into work; it has until Tuesday to sort itself out (that's when I need it!) I would be best suited to this weather if I were a duck!!!!!!!! According to the forecasts, it's due to keep going until at least Wednesday - maybe I'll buy a canoe!!!! Will keep the decorations up until tomorrow but will put everything away before heading back to work on Tuesday. It was fun while it lasted :) I'm now going to focus on small goals every month. For example, I have a 2 day first aid refresher course this week, then I'm stage managing for a drama festival in February and we'll see about March but it's good to have something to look forward to and to count with - you know what I mean??!! Catch you all later - have a lovely Sunday!!
Hey Maureen!
Stay safe out there, yikes. Keeping you in my prayers.
Hope Bruce has a safe trip back, prayers for him as well.
(((Hugs)))
Enjoy managing the drama festival! How exciting!
Hope you have a wonderful day~
xx

We finally have the word SNOW in a forecast! We are expecting a dusting tonight and into tomorrow morning. This winter has been snowless and warm.:(
I LOVE snow so the lack thereof has been a major disappointment. That is the problem with living in southwestern Ohio. While we will have decent snow years, like the last 2, many years have little. However, this year has felt more like the year I lived in Georgia.
I need to move to the Northeast! Cooler summers, Snowier winters.
Hope you get a bunch of snow!! ;)

Now that the new year has started I'm turning my attention to my garden season my calendar really only has two seasons fall and Christmas season and gardening season . All new plans this year under way can't wait to get started. then once the pumpkins start growing I'm already thinking about fall ..

Good luck with that weather. And yes I think we all need little markers in our lives to look forward to all year. Personally the one thing I enjoy about January is the NFL playoff weekends which begin next weekend.

Well, today I begin my fun annual Christmas post-script activity of looking for hold-out holiday decorations on my neighborhood walks and making my predictions on which ones will be the last to come down.
(Helps to make the walk more interesting and moderate the post-holiday blues a bit!)
I do the same thing, there are actually quite a few homes with decorations still up around here. Our outdoor ones normally stay up until the spring thaw, but having to move on March 1 we needed to get them down before the got frozen in place.

So excited for the 'bers!!
I want to grow pumpkins one day.
Enjoy planning for the seasons!

Good Sunday Morning MMC! Well I guess I had a little bit of the PCB'S finally last evening. I just felt a little bored though and maybe that's why I got them? It wasn't that bad though. Years ago I used to get them far worse. MMC helps a lot in really keeping those away. Plus to be honest (and please nobody throw things at me for saying this) but I actually feel ready to go back to work. I feel like that I've been off a month and I really do like where I work, the people I work with, etc. I'm not dreading it and I'm looking at it as exciting to begin a new year being at work basically every week for the next 50 weeks and how each week I go to work it's just a journey back to our favorite time of year. Time goes so fast that I don't even want to rush it because it goes so fast as it is that it's scary. I'm gonna watch the Jets today to see if we can win to get in the playoffs.
I hope you guys have a great SUNDAY as most of us go back to our routines tomorrow. Think about all the fun we've had and all the fun we'll have throughout the whole year here!
I love where I work too, love the holidays but also like you, like to get back to routine.

I love growing pumpkins for pies and bread. The last two years I have not grown any and instead bought pumpkins from the local farm. We started the process of reorganizing our backyard and moving the garden area. So this year we will be growing pumpkins again!
Do you grow pie pumpkins or larger ones?

Ya know it's only 8 months till the bers right? Doesn't seem as far if you think of it that way. And in 2 months we'll be halfway back to September 1.
Nope, it's not far off at all.
I have a countdown on my phone that I look at each morning, makes me smile!

Goodmorning MMC!! Hope everyone has a beautiful Sunday whether you're working, with family or watching games/movies. :)

Today is the first day in Florida since last February that the weather has been nice enough to open some windows and sit outside. To me it's ideal. Gray, overcast and about 55. Accuweather says realfeel is 49, but I don't agree. LOL A bit breezy with a light drizzling rain.

I'm sitting on my back porch carving some wood pieces and can see neighbors leaving their homes bundled up like it was the Arctic circle and they were watching out for polar bears. LOL

It's a good distraction from the PCBs. All of our decorations are still up so it's a nice way to end the season with some weather that feels like Christmas. :)

Back to work.
we had those temps here in Ontario before Christmas and a lot of people were ssitting around outside enjoying it.
No time for PCB here, to much work to do in the next two months for our move. But then PCB have never been an issue for me. I just think Christmas comes and goes and when one is gone I can look forward to the one that is to come. Putting decorations away gives me a chance to clean them up, check for damage and make a list of new ones needed.
Enjoy the rest of your day !

Last lazy day before back to school tomorrow. Luckily no school work to do today, I made sure everything was ready to go before I started Christmas break. Today's plan, watch my Cleveland Browns play, and probably lose, to the Steelers. Pick-up the house a bit, relax and make sure the kids are ready to go back tomorrow.
Hope everyone has a great Sunday!
love lazy days ! Not much going on here either, I have a carrot cake in the oven for my mom to bring over tomorrow. Once in awhile I get up and put away a few more decorations. Watch the Mistle Tones on netflix, was glad to see it still on.

We have plenty of DVDs here, too. It's great during the season, though, to flip through the channels and see all sorts of random Christmas broadcasts. But having a stash of DVDs means there's a dash of Christmas anytime you want. Think of the power! :)

That's me trying to keep above the PCBs. There is a bit of blue haze today. Tomorrow I'll be too busy to be bothered, and once the everyday routine takes hold, there will be other things to think about. It occurred to me that for Christmas week and New Year's week, I've had two workdays and five days off, instead of the usual way 'round! It'll be sweet when that time comes around again!
I love those random peeks of Christmas throughout the year too.
This coming Christmas and new years are both on weekends, so it will be a busy week at work between the two for me.
