Christmas Countdown - 2016

Just thought I would log in for a bit tonight. My hubby is stopping at the moose after work for the big drawing, so we will be eating a late supper. (as normal) I should be taking down my Christmas things, but it's been a busy afternoon & I can't bring myself to do it yet. I have Christmas music on "Slacker" through my blu-ray & I'm still lovin it. It's so dreary & icky out. It just feels nice to be inside with Christmas lights & music. Of course Miss Gracie left me to go outside & play in the rain with the neighbor boys. :p
I don't have to start supper for awhile yet, but I'm going to try to smoke a pizza. LOL I found a "recipe" online & I'm going to give it a try. I love wood fire pizza, so we'll see how this turns out! xx

How did the pizza turn out?
I miss the lights and decorations during this dreary weather too.
It's okay to leave them up and take them down when you feel ready.

Merry morning,
I am so glad I don't have to leave the house today. I plan on laying on the sofa all day so I can get over this virus fully especially as I am going into work tomorrow.

I noticed The Lake House is on Tv today so I set it to record. It was on a magazine's list of movies to watch in Autumn. I plan on saving it till Sep/Oct to watch :D I don't know if it's any good but I am excited to be planning for Autumn!!! :D

What are you up to today? For all taking down decorations - good luck. Don't worry you will soon be putting them back up again. It's only a few months till next season and even less till autumn and Halloween !!!!!!!! Yay! Don't get me wrong though, I am in no way wishing time away - it's to precious.

Good Morning christmas friends...Hope everyone is all well today....Feeling a lot better this morning,Had my porridge oats for breakfast and so far so good:)....Relaxing day ahead is on the menu today...Have a merry weekend christmas friends:)
 
Good Saturday Morning MMC! Well that first work week of the year was not so bad was it? Glad it's the weekend though. I'm really gonna try to have a low-key weekend. The one thing about the holiday season is that the weekends can be hectic (even though they're so amazingly fun). Sometimes I am running around nonstop all day on the weekends and this weekend I plan on just relaxing more than running around. We have a mild yet cloudy and somewhat rainy weekend ahead. It's ok. Still no signs of any real snow here. Next week should be cold with a chance of snow showers mid-week. That's about it. I'm going to the eye Dr. this morning to reorder my contacts for a year. Other than that, gonna go to the deli to get a nice sandwich for lunch.

Yay for planning for Autumn!!! I hope you feel better soon. So sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. I've got a meeting this morning at work and then I'm at home resting the rest of today. We are planning to take down our tree but leave up our lights surrounding our windows inside-they add a nice light all year and don't have to be Christmasy. Have a great day and FEEL BETTER.

Have a great Saturday, Edge, and enjoy the relaxing! I was hoping my weekends would have slowed at work by now but today I've got a meeting and tomorrow I've got a memorial service, so I'm quite busy until at least next weekend. Enjoy that rest and that sandwich for us both! :)

Happy Saturday Edge...low key weekend sounds good to me. We have my daughter's basketball game and then we are going to relax and I need to catch up on laundry.
 
Another busy weekend ahead--I think the last time I had a weekend where I had nothing planned was early November. HOPEFULLY this is the last one-I would have had time off but I work in a retirement community and someone passed away, so their service is tomorrow. Can't predict that ever, and I'm happy to be there for the family and do the service. But boy, does it make getting through the work week harder without a day off recently! Perhaps next weekend will truly not have anything come up...let's hope for that!

We will be taking down our tree and decorations today, but it's time. We can't hold onto them forever, and we haven't even turned our tree lights on this week. It's time. Next year and next season will be here before we know it, so no worries! Let's enjoy each season as it comes.
