I'm jealous of all of you still seeing lights out. I haven't seen a house with lights for well over a week.

Our neighbors usually take down their lights a few days after Christmas still have theirs up. I counted 31 houses on my way home from work last night, and that's an 11 mile trip.

I got some good news at the orthopedist's yesterday. I don't have to go back till February 11, and by then I should be able to ditch the boot. Meanwhile, I can sleep without it. Having said that, guess who was afraid to try to sleep without her boot last night?

My baby sister (and only sibling) turned 50 yesterday. I did manage to go see her after my doctor's appointment. It's an odd feeling knowing that your little sis is 50! She took it very well, though, and looks at it like the wonderful milestone it is. Hopefully I will be back to work on Monday (we work in the same office) and I can buy her lunch or something.

Penny surgery went well, she is resting at home now but not feeling very well. (not surprising) Sleeping on Rays lap for awhile

Merry Saturday!
Hoping and praying that all of my online friends and their furbabies are well this morning. My husband ended up getting very sick last night, not sure if it's a virus or something else going on. The poor thing had to be at a job in the city early this morning. He had to take care of a couple of things and couldn't get out of it. Hopefully he'll be home early this afternoon so he can rest. We are supposed to go to an Islander game tomorrow, I gave him a pair of tickets as part of his Christmas gift. Hope he's well enough to go. Not too much going on for me today. The girls all have to work so I'm going to start breakfast soon. I'm going food shopping after everyone is up and out. Other than that I'll be working on some chores around the house and I'm going to make a pot of chicken soup for my husband. That's about it for me. Hope everyone has a nice day ♥

Good morning everyone! Hope the weekend is off to a good start for you.
Today is my son Henry's birthday, he is 7 today. No huge plans. He wants to help bake his own cake, in the form of a minecraft block. My wife will help him with that, she is the artistic one. I can bake a cake, but it would just be a cake. lol
Grandma and Grandpa are coming over this afternoon and going out to dinner with us. Then, this evening we are going to a place called Scene 75. It is part restaurant, part arcade. Kind of like Chuck-E-Cheese, but with a lot more games. Should be a fun day. Plus, once he opens his gifts, we can fight with nurf lightsabers!

Morning and happy Saturday MMC!! Sitting at the bowling lanes watching my step son bowl for Jr Bowling when a good friend of mine's son bowled a 300 (perfect) game!! I've never seen one bowled before! It was awesome! He is a senior in high school. After bowling, I'm going to go for a run then there's rehearsal for church then a double header at the radio station. Plus I have to squeeze in bringing up totes to put Christmas stuff away. Hope everyone (including fur-babies) is feeling better or on the mend or doing well and that your day goes as planned or better!!

It was extremely exciting!! After he rolled the last strike, all the other bowlers stopped bowling and there was a great cheer going on!! I'm extremely happy for him!!

Well I was asking my brother if he wants to take the tree down and his response...........
NO! He wants to wait another week. Who am I to argue even though I'm older? lol
So my tree will now be up until next weekend the 23rd/24th of January. That's a little late for me but...I love it.

Candlemas is February 2...

I initially felt better after laying down for a few hours and had lunch, but tired myself out from a short walk with Har. It's cold out there, the wind was sharp.
Going to stay put on the couch for a bit!

Went for a run and halfway through my run I felt a pop in my right calf and had to stop running. Now my calf is really sore and I cannot walk without a limp. Going to try icing it and then a heating pad at night. I'm working my double header right now at the radio station so I'll be off of it for a while. Very frustrating to have this injury. I'm hoping that I can recoup enough so I can continue to run. Gotta start training soon for a half marathon in May.

That sounds painful, I hope it is subsiding.
