Oh ya! I have an afghan started using RH with love Evergreen! It has been put to the side...for quite awhile now. I think I need to rip it out b/c it's not wide enough. But I love the color! Pretty & warm!

Instead of ripping it all out, have you considered finishing it and adding a few rows to each side? Or adding a few rounds as a border? Depending on the pattern, you might be able to just fudge it into the size you want.

Oh, it was in jest, I assure you. I'm the guy who gets teased by my friends for wanting to spend all my time with her!

My Mrs had to kick me out with my friends at times. Quite the change of pace from my last Mrs. I rather enjoy it, but I feel incomplete if I do things without her.

I just got a message from the weather channel saying snow would begin at 11:19am! LOL It's been snowing all morning! We don't have a full ground cover, but it's working on it.

Merry, gorgeous afghan you are making! RH Soft is nice yarn, but I have never used any. Is it similar to Bernat when you work with it?

Did I say Red Heart Soft? I meant Red Heart with Love. I'd say RH with Love a little softer than Bernat, but not as limp as RH Soft, which is almost TOO soft to suit me. RH with Love is a nice middle ground between RH Soft and RH Super Saver. I really like Bernat, but can't get the colors I want locally.

I would love to have enough to enjoy some snow activities like sledging.
We had one light dusting on Saturday. The kids managed to scrape enough off the car to make a snowman the size of my hand. He now lives in our freezer ...

Happy Pines!! Hope you are all having a good day. The wind is a lot less today so it makes it so much more bearable out there! My kids have dentist appts at 12 so I am picking them up from school early. I am attempting my Chicken Tortilla soup again. My last batch I think I turned it up the temp too high and it thickened it too much..it was like paste...lol So hopefully I will make out better today!

I buy yarn the same way, Merry. There are a couple of sampler afghans (one is knit and one is crochet) I want to make starting next month. One color of yarn is bought when it was on sale, I just need to figure out the second color and then got at least one skein so I can start. Plus I need to finish one I started early last fall.

Good morning, MMC!

I hope this finds everyone well. Praying for all those in/potentially in the upcoming storm's path.

I am a bit tired from lack of sleep and a wee bit of a cold that I seem to have gotten, but I still have had a busy day. Other than filing, I have gone through a huge pile of paperwork and caught up on all my email. Woo hoo! Feels like I actually accomplished something today! On to working on store related tasks which includes researching prices and whatever else I need to do to get an item ready for sale, from washing said item to painting. Never a dull moment.

I did think about that, but this pattern is a "tartan plaid" where you weave strands of yarn in when you are done crocheting, so the fringes make the border. I don't think it will be possible.
