Great pictures of Gracie!
The grass here was still green when it snowed after Christmas. There was a bit of rain last night and there are tufts of grass sticking up through the ice/snow that hasn't melted yet and it is still green. Love it! Have a merry day!


The butcher's I visit can't keep it in stock; people come from out of state to buy packages!

I will have to ask my BIL if they have beef bacon. I have never seen it there, so I doubt it, but it's worth asking.
I don't like brown grass either....but it's just odd to have semi-green grass in January. So not normal!

Had a better night's sleep last night, but I am still yawning like crazy. Not even the Rob Zombie workout playlist I use is getting me motivated. I think today is going to be even longer than yesterday! Lots of stuff to do today, though, so I had best get going.

I'm taking a quick break from catching up on posts to jump in & say Good Morning!!! Happy Tuesday!! Not much going on here today. It's super windy & dreary. Local radio station says we have a chance of some flurries today. Originally our forecast said SNOW today but they took it out - so I think they do owe us at least a few flurries!!

We are planning a birthday brunch for my Mom on Sunday morning. Her birthday brunch is always one of my favorite meals of the whole year. YUM! Texts are flying in this morning from my nieces/nephews as to who will & won't be there. 2 of my sisters are leaving for Florida on Saturday, so they can't make it. But just our immediate family will take mom out to eat Friday night, so they can join in on the celebration too. Oh darn - 2 meals out!

My SIL had her apt with her oncologist yesterday & she is in trouble. Her cancer is back & they do believe it is in her lymph nodes. It is not a curable cancer, but it can be put into remission. Surprisingly she has agreed to chemo & strong combination of methotrexate & other meds I can't remember the name of. Just hoping & praying for a positive outcome for her.

Good Tuesday morning everyone. My son is sick today, so another day home taking care of him. I've missed a lot of work recently with all the sickness, but thankfully they're understanding. Still, I'm ready for things to be back to normal. I hate it for him, too. But it will pass quickly. Have a great day!

Good Tuesday Morning MMC! Or as I call it the slightly less evil version of Monday . How's everyone doing as we roll through the last week of January (that doesn't seem possible already). I have said it before but I think having my tree up this late has helped me this year in January. This is just my least favorite month of the year but this year it has not been bad and to me it's moved so much faster than the last couple of years. Anyway, should be a good day at work today I'm hoping. Lots of snow around to navigate but we are not expecting anymore snow this week and next week I hear we may reach 50 degrees at some point! Wow.

By the way today's the 26th...two months ago was Thanksgiving in the USA. That doesn't seem possible to me either as it feels like yesterday. Time just goes so fast...

And we further note that there is now less than 2 1/2 weeks to go to our next Milestone marker -- the 1/4 point to Christmas Season 2016!


Well, the temps did indeed get warmer yesterday and significant inroads were made toward eliminating the accumulated ice from our recent winter weather event. Hopefully, today will take care of most of the rest of the job.
We have started off sunny at 41 degrees here in the center of North Carolina.

It's very distracting .

Good morning!
Merry Tuesday!
I'm moving slow this morning, just having my coffee and watching the local news. I do need to go out soon, I have a few errands to run and I can't put them off anymore. The side roads are slowly improving here. It's going to be mostly cloudy today with a chance of showers later in the day. We'll have a high of 45 degrees so more of the snow will be melting away. My mother is coming over this afternoon to visit. Other than that I will be working on my daily chores. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

Dental checkup and cleaning today, plus I have to discuss our new insurance with them and see how much of our pending major dental work may be covered ... ugh. And my head is so fuzzy from a constant dry-but-stuffy nose that I just can't get much relief from. But these cold days, it feels so good to get home in the evening after work---I'm looking forward to that.
