Stay safe, they must be planning for it to be really bad if they have closed schools and issued travel warnings this early.

I am kind of proud and kind of ashamed at the same time. So many things were getting in the way of taking it down this year, just like when I was trying to get decorated back in November. All I have left to do is to put my Santa collection away, and get the lights off the roofline. That room looks so empty and dark without the tree tonight. 10 more months, 10 more months...

Ahh before you know it you'll be telling me how you hate the summer weather and we'll be looking at Christmas in July on t.v....and soon after that we'll be rolling back towards the BERS and it'll all be starting all over again...

LC went back to school today, and JP stayed home, they are both feeling better now. Thank you.

I listen to those bands too (and some more) I sometimes get people who don't now Badfinger. They were such a good bad and have influenced so many bands with their sound. I hadn't realised Status Quo wasn't all that big in the US.
Glad the boys are improving.

Thank you! I made two or three "prototypes" before I figured out how to make the sprocket holes and how to piece together the horizontal and vertical pieces. Then I took notes, and pretty much stick to them when I make a new one. I think I've made close to 20 of them for various film-collector friends of ours, including one for a film-festival auction and a couple for our own use. Somewhere I have a notebook that lists where each one went.

I entered one in a county fair some years ago, and it didn't even get an honorable mention. A garden-variety granny-square afghan won the blue ribbon. I kept the "loser" for myself and use it on the bed.

Well that is most definitely their loss. However, your design sounds like a winner to me!

Merry Morning,
My boys are still unwell. My youngest coughed all night. I hope he has some relief tonight.
My eldest will be off today. My youngest may be well enough to go to nursery as it's only 2 1/2 hours there. We shall see.

Windstorms continue. The temps though have been unseasonable mild here reaching 11C!! This has been happening the last few years around this time. Just when we think we are heading toward an early spring, we then enter a cold snap that lasts well after the official start of spring!

That does not sound good at all! Kudos to whoever decided to close the schools and keep people off the road. Good to know that some places put the safety of folks first!

Hard to believe I've been up almost 3 hours already. Started making cranberry applesauce in my slow cooker and it smells so good in here right now! Get to work on reports today ~ should be interesting!

Still pretty exhausted but feeling a little better, too.
The visit went well! We decided on where we wanted the transom and fireplace, and It really did a lot of good to take measurements and be reminded of the space. We also have more of a timeline put together.
