*Can you please pray hard for Harlowe?*

Her vet just called and said that she's at a much higher risk for the surgery because of her heart murmur. She said that she's at higher risk if she didn't do the surgery, because dental disease if left untreated, affects the organs, specifically her heart, liver, and lungs. If we wait, it will be higher risk next time. Catch 22.
I am so frightened.
She is also taking x-rays of her heart while she's under, to look at the swelling. She is taking all of the extra precautions she needs to, but is still concerned. I'm terrified right now. And trying my best to hold it together.
I will keep you posted, she has to give her antibiotic injections and other precautionary meds, so it will be starting a bit later. I hope to hear by early afternoon.

Thank you!
Oh my goodness snowflake. Praying hard for you & Har. Sending extra strength to all!!! I'm glad they are taking all the extra precautions.

Well, her belly initially.
But also Ken, Adi's Dad. He called after 9:00 and was struggling. Adi had to drive down during the snow and slick roads. I was worried about them, and Har. None of us slept.

He is better today, I pray that continues.

It sounds like you guys will have a lovely weekend. Enjoy!
xx

Sorry to hear about Adi's Dad. I'll be praying for him too. Hope he continues to do well! I'm glad Adi was able to make it there safely! You did have a rough night. :(

Well the game starts really around 6:30 should end by 10...a little post game maybe 10:30 I'll be in bed my normal time plus I don't drink alcohol so not like I have to worry about having a hangover maybe just off the sandwich and chicken wings :).
The 1st couple years we went to the Legion for the Superbowl we said we would go home at half time...it hasn't happened yet, so we gave up on that idea! ;)

Prayers will be rising.
It sounds to me like Har is in good hands---the vet knows there are risks, and can monitor her carefully as she works.

OH NO!! A snow day & a shortage of yarn!!!

If you were closer you could go through my stash!! Ha ha!!!
Thanks for the offer!
I have some yarn, but not enough to start a new project ... I'm making granny squares with scraps, which makes it easy for me to keep checking my office email.

Good morning ~
Well our 3-6 inches of snow has increased to 6-12. We already have several inches on the ground, I'm sure we'll be closer to 12 inches where I am, I've been shoveling all morning. It started out as rain early this morning so the snow is incredibly wet and heavy. I like to shovel as it's coming down to make it a little bit easier. Thankfully my middle one had off today. I made my youngest stay home from work. My husband and oldest had to go in to work, hopefully the plows will do a decent job before the commute home. I'll definitely be in for the rest of the day. I'm going to get started on the laundry soon and work on a menu plan and grocery list for next week. I'm making a beef and vegetable soup in the crock pot for dinner. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!
Hugs and prayers ♥

Oh my goodness lovely! (((((HUGS HUGS)))))

It is difficult not to worry under the circumstances. I am praying right now that Har is resilient through the procedure and has a positive response with no complications and a smooth recovery.

How long does the procedure last?

Prayers for courage and strength for you. I know nothing I say can lessen your worry and anxiety. Just know that I am thinking of you all. Speak to us about it as much as you need to. It will at least help a little to unload your feelings.

Prayers for Ken. I am sorry to hear he is struggling. I have been meaning to ask how he is.

Goodness you have a lot on your plate lately my friend. Keep courage. ((((Hugs)))

Hoping for a safe trip home for your husband and your oldest.
We're getting the heavy, wet stuff here too ... I keep hearing creaking and groaning from trees and such outdoors. It's a wee bit unnerving. When the wind blows, I can hear big plops of wet snow hitting the ground.

Thanks so much, Sam. I really appreciate it <3

I'm not sure, originally they had hoped she would be done by noon. But that was before they had to add some procedures, and monitoring. So they said they were going to see a few other patients first.
I'm hoping to get word by early afternoon.

I am a wreck, and have had two meetings to sit through. Hard to concentrate.

I want them to take their time and be extra safe, but I also want to hear that she came out of it okay- quickly.

Afternoon all,
I am going to start dinner soon. It's been a hectic day! I never even made it to the supermarket to pick up chicken wings so I can make my 24hour wings for the super bowl. The repair guy had to come check the boiler as it's been losing pressure often. Turned out to be a couple leaks in the pipes they installed a couple months back. *long sigh* Anyway no big deal. It's all sorted now.

Thank you so much.

He had been doing better, but he has insomnia at night and some depression, so it's been hard lately for him. What's tough on Adi and his sister is that he'll sleep late into the day, when he can sleep, and that's when they come to see him and spend time. He'll sleep through it, and then wake up and request them late in the evening, or on a weekday, when they should be sleeping or working.
Adi has traveled down there (almost 3 hours round trip in winter) every weekend, sometimes during the week too, and he'll either sleep or not want to go do anything. I know he's beyond frustrated, but also sympathizes. He loves his Dad so much, and just wants to help. But we're all running out of ideas.

xx

That is frustrating, sorry to hear that.
Glad that it's sorted now, though. Hopefully at no charge!

I'm already thinking of next Pines night!
