*Can you please pray hard for Harlowe?*

Her vet just called and said that she's at a much higher risk for the surgery because of her heart murmur. She said that she's at higher risk if she didn't do the surgery, because dental disease if left untreated, affects the organs, specifically her heart, liver, and lungs. If we wait, it will be higher risk next time. Catch 22.
I am so frightened.
She is also taking x-rays of her heart while she's under, to look at the swelling. She is taking all of the extra precautions she needs to, but is still concerned. I'm terrified right now. And trying my best to hold it together.
I will keep you posted, she has to give her antibiotic injections and other precautionary meds, so it will be starting a bit later. I hope to hear by early afternoon.

I'm not sure, originally they had hoped she would be done by noon. But that was before they had to add some procedures, and monitoring. So they said they were going to see a few other patients first.
I'm hoping to get word by early afternoon.

I am a wreck, and have had two meetings to sit through. Hard to concentrate.

I want them to take their time and be extra safe, but I also want to hear that she came out of it okay- quickly.

I was just about to ask if you had to be at work today or at the Vet's. It must be tough having to get through your work day with all this going on. At least it is keeping you occupied rather than pacing up and down at the Vet! I know that is only a tiny consolation though I know you must desperately want to be there with her. It will feel like a long day waiting to hear from them but I know that you will make it through. You are always so strong and brave and so is Har for that matter.

I am here keeping tabs until you hear something. You're not alone. We are all here for you.

Good morning ~
Well our 3-6 inches of snow has increased to 6-12. We already have several inches on the ground, I'm sure we'll be closer to 12 inches where I am, I've been shoveling all morning. It started out as rain early this morning so the snow is incredibly wet and heavy. I like to shovel as it's coming down to make it a little bit easier. Thankfully my middle one had off today. I made my youngest stay home from work. My husband and oldest had to go in to work, hopefully the plows will do a decent job before the commute home. I'll definitely be in for the rest of the day. I'm going to get started on the laundry soon and work on a menu plan and grocery list for next week. I'm making a beef and vegetable soup in the crock pot for dinner. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!

Afternoon all,
I am going to start dinner soon. It's been a hectic day! I never even made it to the supermarket to pick up chicken wings so I can make my 24hour wings for the super bowl. The repair guy had to come check the boiler as it's been losing pressure often. Turned out to be a couple leaks in the pipes they installed a couple months back. *long sigh* Anyway no big deal. It's all sorted now.

I have to ask about the 24 hour wings? I'm thinking about smoking some wings this weekend since it's supposed to be 50º, might as well set the smoker outside & make some yummies!

He had been doing better, but he has insomnia at night and some depression, so it's been hard lately for him. What's tough on Adi and his sister is that he'll sleep late into the day, when he can sleep, and that's when they come to see him and spend time. He'll sleep through it, and then wake up and request them late in the evening, or on a weekday, when they should be sleeping or working.
Adi has traveled down there (almost 3 hours round trip in winter) every weekend, sometimes during the week too, and he'll either sleep or not want to go do anything. I know he's beyond frustrated, but also sympathizes. He loves his Dad so much, and just wants to help. But we're all running out of ideas.

That's the hardest part about all of this. You want it to be over with, but you don't want them to rush and possibly make mistakes. Sorry your meetings cannot distract you enough to make time pass for you. It feels like an eternity and time seems to slow in situations like this. Stay strong, neighbor! Praying for Adi and his father also.

I'm still working on our network, but it's getting better.

School was dismissed today due to weather...and it's sunny and 55°F! We had a lot of rain a couple days ago, but we've had more in the past. I don't know who makes those decisions, but they need to get their big-boy pants on and go to work!

Jacob has a gig this evening in a coffee shop, so that'll be nice.

That is so hard. It really is. Both frustrating and hard for all of you. I pray that things turn around for Ken soon. I understand it is a very delicate situation. So sad. Prayers for Ken's well being, healing and strength.

Finally a day that was back to normal, everyone back to school and work.
As MC, and Snowflakemom have said we are expecting snow in the Southern New England area, 2-4 inches in my neck of the woods.
Looks like a slow go into work in the morning.

Good Friday Morning MMC! TGIF! Some weeks you want the weekend and others you NEED the weekend. This would be one of those weeks where the NEED applies. It hasn't been the best week at work so I'm really looking forward to getting away from it for the weekend. Nothing terrible just "one of those weeks" as you all know how that can be sometimes. It's snowing here and we have maybe 2 inches of it. After the warm week we've had it amazes me that it stuck on some of the roads here. I didn't think it could after that warmth. More snow Tuesday? Possible is what I hear. I'm ready for Superbowl weekend!

Snowing here, with 6 to 10 inches of heavy, wet snow expected. So I opted to work from home today. I'll be constantly monitoring my office email throughout the day. Mr. had to drive to a job today, but it's not terribly far away, and the commute is along major routes. He phoned to let me know he got there safely, in spite of the crazy drivers around him. Just sitting here with a cup of tea waiting for the jobs to come in!

Happy Friday and sending prayers! My boxer, Max was 10 and had a heart murmur too when he had his dental surgery. I know how stressful it is and boxers can only have a certain type of anesthesia so I was a complete wreck that they would give him the "standard" one. Also sending prayers for Adi's Dad and you guys too. My Mom had a lot of complications from her diabetes and it is so stressful emotionally when you have to help take care of your parents.
