Sorry I've been MIA folks-I've been busier than I would have hoped the beginning of this year and this week I came down with an awful, awful stomach bug! I hope everyone is doing well! Hope to be back in the swing of things and here more often from now on!

Is there anything the vet can recommend you add to her water to nourish her. I remember once my dog having some kind of glucose drops or something in the water to boost her when she was ill. I honestly can't remember. Can they give her a shot of vitamins or something?

Then again I guess they would have suggested that if it were possible.

CAH has a nutritional gel that she's recommended, and so I will also ask about that when Har's vet calls me back.

Yeah it's like you don't want to abandon them and NOT visit but visiting and leaving is so hard...and makes you feel even worse.

Exactly...I felt like I was betraying her.
In reality, I know it was what she needed, but still felt so awful.

My long day is catching up to me. Hopefully I won't wake up so much tonight or an hour before the alarm goes off like this morning. Need to tidy things up and then I can relax for a bit and spend quality time with Palmer. Shooting for a 6:30 pm bedtime tonight as 2 am comes way too fast for my likes! To think that was my normal bedtime not too long ago. Things do have a way of changing just when you get comfortable. It is all good, though!

For the past several years, our street (in a residential area off the highway) has been plowed just enough for a car to get around, but by no means to the bare pavement. Secondary roads and highways would be bare and dry, but in our neighborhood there would still be some snow cover and slush frozen in icy ruts on top of the pavement. Suddenly, this year, they're plowing to the bare pavement and scattering sand and salt. Someone must have complained! I mentioned it to the mailman one day when I was working at home, and he joked, "Someone is going to be fired!"

It's so ridiculous that it had been lacking prior, but I'm glad they're finally taking care of your street the way it always should've been cared for. Yay! Maybe your mailman made it happen!

The cats get a vitamin gel that I put on their paws or for the extra fussy, lips. They lick it off every time! Praying there is something for Harlowe!

Thanks girls! I could use a nap. LOL Actually, I slept pretty darn good last night. Now my oldest sister is probably exhausted. She's burning the candle at both ends. Brought Mom to the doc & then the ER yesterday, then drove 1 1/2 hrs south so be with my SIL, she's been to the hospital twice this morning & tonight she's heading 2 hours north to watch her grand kids. Whew!

Bless her heart. And yours, praying for you both, and your entire family!

What a little stinker!! I put chicken broth over Gracie's normal dry dog food. She seems to like that. Just a thought. Though if Har's not eating all that other good food, that may not work either. Hope the lunch meat &/or the hamburger work. Otherwise you are going to have to fly your Mom home!
Like festive mentioned I was wondering too if there's something the vet can give to add nourishment to her water? Sure hope the little booger eats & soon!!!

Another neighbor friend of mine, Michelle, (also has a pup named Gracie) sent a card and asked if we needed anything. (She is the one who brought over homemade food for Har the other night)
So I messaged her today and gave her a grocery list!
Chicken broth, beef broth, eggs, and Mom's carving board lunchmeat. It will be on my steps, and Reggie will take it in when she visits Har this afternoon. I have sweet friends in my neighborhood, they are both dog Mom's.
