Wow I almost didn't make it home. Only a couple of inches of snow but everything is covered and the plows I guess cause it's a holiday are not cleaning like usual. I skidded off the road a few times...saw a few accidents. I crawled up this big hill hoping I wouldn't get stuck about 15MPH...barely made it as my car kept trying to gain any traction.

I'm glad you made it home safely. I just took Maggie out back and almost fell, everything is turning to ice. I can't wait until the temperatures go up tomorrow!

Hey All- we went shopping today and then my daughter and I went out to lunch. Now we are home and it is snowing. We are supposed to get a couple of inches and then it is turning over to sleet/freezing rain and then all rain. I am looking forward to the warm up. Have a good evening and I will check in later!

I just got home. Had some appointments after work.
Adi said Har didn't eat much, but drank plenty. She ate some during the day, so I'm not too worried at this point.

I went home on lunch to check on Harlowe & Adi, and they both seemed to be doing good. That put my mind at ease. About an hour left of work, and then I have a few evening appointments.
Can't wait to go home to see both of my loves!

She is doing pretty good today, thanks. She took her meds well for me at lunch-I was showing Adi what's been working, so he can help out too

That is such good news about her taking her meds. It's so much better having Adi there with her too during the day. I hope she eats and takes her meds today.

Merry Tuesday all,
My youngest slept through the night with no breathing and coughing issues. I think we are finally moving forward. However , I was up with my eldest because he suddenly came down with a high temperature, headache etc last night. He will be fine, it's just another bug. Thankfully they are on school break this week.

So it goes at our house. For the last couple of months, someone is always ill!
Anyway, it will pass. Storm clouds don't hang around forever

It really helped having you guys here this past week especially. Thanks again for being there and for keeping me in prayers and thoughts Snowflake22, Holiday,Prancer, HomeakinGirl, Meceka, Bradmac, e_xander, SnowflakeMom, Ryan. You guys are a reminder of what the Christmas spirit is about.

In case you have been away, we are now in the SECOND quarter of our game here and headed for Milestone Marker number three.

Days to the Season: 272
Days to Christmas Day: 314

Marker 3 is, of course, the 300 day Christmas Day point after which we will be in a double 200's level count sequence.
And we will reach that Milestone just TWO WEEKS from today!


After yet another very cold day yesterday, we are due for a respite.
That may come today or tomorrow, but will be accompanied by precipitation, some of which has already started to fall as light sleet.
We are at another chilly 26 degrees here, currently.

I just saw a fat grey squirrel on a branch outside the window eating an apple !! It looked like something out of a story book. Of course as soon as I reached for the camera he skipped off.

He's become a regular in the garden but I haven't seen him since Autumn.

Aw, I bet it was a cute sight. Hopefully you'll be able to get a picture next time!

You're welcome Sam. And thank you. I just hung up with the animal hospital, they said the records can be picked up this morning. My husband is on a job in the city so it looks like I have to go get them. My heart is already racing, I hate to go back there.
The Italian wedding soup is delicious, it has little meatballs and spinach in it. So good!
I'm glad you're feeling better. I will continue to keep you and Isaac in my prayers ♥

Mom remains in the hospital. She has had some rough nights. She gets confused as to where she is. They think it's mostly meds. Last night she had a good night, BUT this morning her blood pressure, heart rate & white blood count are all up. So - more tests & meds. Poor lady can't catch a break. She's getting discouraged. My sis will be there soon & I'll be heading up to relieve her in a few hours.
My Moms brother (95 years old) came up to the hospital Saturday night & brought both his sisters balloons & cards for Valentines Day. It was the cutest thing ever. We had a party in my aunts room. I must say that is the most fun I have ever had in a hospital. LOL

Praying your mom is better today and that her spirits are up. It stinks that a lot of times the meds you need to take to get well make you feel so miserable.

Thank you, I believe Ken is doing pretty well considering. I know he's happy to have Jobi back home (my SIL).

Harlowe showed improvements, for the most part. She's still not as solid as I hoped in her recovery from this infection, but I'm hopeful that today will be better than yesterday.
I know we're both happy that Adrian got home a few hours ago.

Hey MMC! Still getting back in the swing of things after the stomach bug. Apparently the norovirus is going around and I'm pretty sure that's what we all had. YUCK. Stay healthy folks!

Hope everyone is moving along these days. I'm always a little distracted this time of year just trying to keep forward momentum going. It's hard! But, we can't waste time. Hope everyone has a wonderful Monday evening! We made it through!
