Christmas Countdown - 2016

Good Wednesday Morning MMC! Happy Pines Day! I'm going to the Chinese buffet tonight so I'm looking forward to that! The last time I went there was 2 weeks before Christmas. I can't believe we are already into the 2nd half of February. Looks like Mother Nature is going to take a breath now and give us some calm weather for the next 5-7 days. We could use it. My supervisor is out till Tuesday which means I may have more stuff fall on me. She knows EVERYTHING and I appreciate her for all the help she gives me. I'll have to try to get by without her cause she's going to be taking a bunch of vacation now through the spring. Only good thing is she won't take much vacation the rest of the year once June comes.

Good morning MMC! Happy Hump/Pines Day!!! We got a little dusting of snow overnight. Gracie was excited. She goes to the beauty parlor at lunch today for a bath & a brush out. That's about all that's going on here. Mom seemed to be in a little bit better spirits last night. While I was there 2 of my nephews came, so I snuck out....let her see some fresh faces. I think she was happy to see them. Now hoping for a good morning report today! xx

Thinking of everyone who is still suffering illnesses or trouble ... happy to read that at least some of them are on the mend.

As for me, the doctor's office sent me a HUGE bill for an exam that should have been 100% covered by insurance. I believe they must have submitted the wrong insurance info. I have to call and get them to straighten that out.

But the sun is shining, it's going to be in the 40s today, and it's Pines Day!

Oh, she's getting a bath this evening, for sure. She HATES a bath, but she loves the hair dryer LOL.

Jacob enjoyed his weekend bachelorhood. He said he played his guitar as loud as he wanted to, and played the Playstation a late as he wanted to. I can't remember when that was all I had to do!

This reminds me of Ferris Bueller's Day Off for some reason!
Funny that Lulu likes the blow dryer. What a pooch!

 

[Holiday]

This might have been the craziest 3 days of weather consecutive that I can ever remember. Sunday was about as cold of a day as I can ever remember...it was brutal. Monday it snowed and the roads got really bad because the ground was so cold. Tuesday I drove to work with milder temps yet the roads were so frozen from the weekend that there was ICY spots everywhere. Then I drove home this afternoon in a torrential rain about as hard as it can rain. Mother Nature take a breath!

Actually, her blood count was up again today! DARNIT!!! They are switching her antibiotics....again! Doc says her best medicine is time. She's been in there a week. Poor lady!

Hard to get motivated this morning. Palmer and I are having breakfast and then I suppose I should get going. There is an inch of new snow on the ground and it is going to be a cold day so there won't be much melting so it should look pretty for a bit.

We're going to have sun and clouds today, with temperatures in the lower 40's. Not too much going on here, I have to run to Bed, Bath & Beyond to pick something up. Other than that I'll be working on my daily chores. My friends mother passed away a couple of days ago, we will be attending the wake this evening and the funeral tomorrow morning. The family is pretty stunned, she wasn't even sick. They think she died from an aneurysm. So sad.
I hope everyone is well and has a nice day. Thoughts and prayers for all of you ♥

Merry Pines MMC!! I am happy to report that my computer is up and running...hopefully it will stay that way! We had a crazy storm late afternoon...it was so windy that it blew our VERY heavy stainless steel grill off our deck and the rain was so heavy. Just working today and hopefully getting a quick workout in. My hubby is working late tonight so I think I am going to make spagehetti and meatballs for dinner. Hope you all have a great day!
