The office says they've gotten several messages about improper billing ... their billing person is supposed to get back to me by phone today. They promise they'll straighten it out. I won't rest well until they do, though!

It's Weds! Time to dismantle the Valentine tree today. Roads are a wreck outside and lots of flooding around today. We are staying inside. Hope everyone has a good day.

My friend took apart her Valentine tree last night & turned it into a Patty's Day tree.

Days to Christmas Day: 312

And the latter number details just how close we are to SINGLE DIGITS to Milestone # 3, the 300 day Christmas Day window, succeeded immediately by the first of our double 200's count sequence.
(Is it too early to start feeling just a teensy bit excited?)


Well, what a difference a day makes!
Temps well into the 50's yesterday contrasted with the low 30's on Monday.
Clear skies replaced leaden ones.
Sleet and freezing rain superceded by wonderfully dry conditions.
(Mother nature was clearly in a great mood!)
Today has commenced at 43 clear degrees and we are determined to keep Ms. Nature feeling good!


Have a Wonderful Wednesday at the Shispering Pines where Carl, as usual, will be waiting at the door with that first complimentary fired twinkie and your choice of sweet iced tea or a shot of his latest experimental coffee blend.
(If I were you, I would choose the tea but perhaps you're just feeling lucky today.)

Good Wednesday Morning MMC! Happy Pines Day! I'm going to the Chinese buffet tonight so I'm looking forward to that! The last time I went there was 2 weeks before Christmas. I can't believe we are already into the 2nd half of February. Looks like Mother Nature is going to take a breath now and give us some calm weather for the next 5-7 days. We could use it. My supervisor is out till Tuesday which means I may have more stuff fall on me. She knows EVERYTHING and I appreciate her for all the help she gives me. I'll have to try to get by without her cause she's going to be taking a bunch of vacation now through the spring. Only good thing is she won't take much vacation the rest of the year once June comes.

Thinking of everyone who is still suffering illnesses or trouble ... happy to read that at least some of them are on the mend.

As for me, the doctor's office sent me a HUGE bill for an exam that should have been 100% covered by insurance. I believe they must have submitted the wrong insurance info. I have to call and get them to straighten that out.

But the sun is shining, it's going to be in the 40s today, and it's Pines Day!

I hope they get that all figured out soon for you Merry. I'm sure they will. My sister works in billing for the local hospital. What a nightmare that would be (I think!) She's good to have in the family - helps with all moms insurance ???'s! Have a good day!

Merry Pines MMC!! I am happy to report that my computer is up and running...hopefully it will stay that way! We had a crazy storm late afternoon...it was so windy that it blew our VERY heavy stainless steel grill off our deck and the rain was so heavy. Just working today and hopefully getting a quick workout in. My hubby is working late tonight so I think I am going to make spagehetti and meatballs for dinner. Hope you all have a great day!

Good morning MMC! Happy Hump/Pines Day!!! We got a little dusting of snow overnight. Gracie was excited. She goes to the beauty parlor at lunch today for a bath & a brush out. That's about all that's going on here. Mom seemed to be in a little bit better spirits last night. While I was there 2 of my nephews came, so I snuck out....let her see some fresh faces. I think she was happy to see them. Now hoping for a good morning report today! xx
