Christmas Countdown - 2016

You guys are the best, thank you so much. I ended up taking my daughter to my primary care physician. I thought it was time for her to stop seeing the pediatrician since she's 20 now. Thankfully she doesn't have the flu but she does have an ear infection on top of whatever is going on with her sinuses. She also has an awful cough that has been keeping her up at night. I just paid $75 for cough medicine! I also picked up a stronger antibiotic. And the doctor said my daughter has a heart murmur. Our pediatrician never, ever heard a heart murmur in the past 20 years. We have to schedule an echocardiogram. Hopefully it's nothing to be concerned about. I am exhausted today, I haven't been sleeping well myself. Looking forward to a relaxing evening.

These are the winter days that I love. Crisp, winter sunshine and blue skies.

Merry Tuesday Snowflake...enjoy the day! We are supposed to start out at snow and turn over to sleet/freezing rain.

Good Tuesday Morning MMC! Will it start or won't it? That's my question as I head out to my car this morning. Fortunately I have a self starter kit that I charged over night. Once my coworker jump started me it took 1 second and the car was fine. I'm thinking the battery is just starting to go hopefully slowly. I'm thinking of getting a new battery on Saturday if my car is starting ok this week and I can get around till then. My coworker says he's been driving around with a dying battery for a "long while." What the heck is he waiting for? lol...I just hate the idea of getting stuck somewhere. I guess we all don't realize how much we rely on our cars. Other than that my supervisor is back today (I call her our savior because she is the smartest and best person I ever worked with). And I'm gonna buy some chicken cutlet entree for lunch and save half for Wednesday so I have two good lunches at work.

I have had a bad case of Christmas on the brain this week and with the weather reminding me of a December morning and not a February morning isn't helping I feel like I should be out Christmas shopping or home listening to Christmas music and baking. These next several months are be long ...

I've long felt that Tuesday is kinda worse. You don't expect much of Monday to begin with; Wednesday is Hump Day; Thursday is Friday Eve; and Friday is ... Friday. But there isn't much good to be said about Tuesday!

I think that started for me years ago when I used to work a night shift from 4 p.m. to midnight. Because Tuesday night had the most deadlines, and material was often delayed, midnight sometimes stretched to 2 a.m. or 4 a.m.---and at least twice, the day crew coming in at 7 a.m. found the night crew still there. Since then, I'm not very fond of Tuesdays!

Good, uh, Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I hate when I miss a day here! I hope I didn't miss anything too important.

Yesterday morning was super busy, then I had to go to a doctor's appointment that I'd forgotten. Nothing to it, just a six month follow-up to my last physical. It was in nearby Statesboro, about 25 miles away. I got home at 5pm, then had to load up with the family to go back. That's where Elizabeth dances and Jacob's guitar lessons are. So I spent about 12 hours in Statesboro yesterday. Whew!

Lulu finally went to the groomer yesterday. We must have missed an appointment, because she was shaggier than usual. She hates going there, but now she's super frisky again!

Good Morning MMC! Just working and my oldest daughter started an after school soccer club on Tuesdays so I have to pick her up at 3:30. We may get some snow today later and is supposed to change over to freezing rain later and overnight. Then tomorrow heavy rain. I just put on some Christmas music...I have not listened to it since January so it is a nice change. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

He looks just like the squirrels in our yard! What are you doing with American squirrels over there?

The grey squirrels have driven out the red squirrels. In fact red squirrels can only be found in a few conservation parks in the north of England now. The forestry commission are working on ways to re establish the reds. As it stands there are over 2.5 million greys and around 140,000 reds. Shame isn't it!

I wish I could but its a work day for me and I have errands after work. Although I am tempted to bring down my small 2 ft pre-lit rustic tree and turn it into a year round tree in the bedroom. I just may to do that

Mom is doing much better. White blood cell count is down again today but her platelets are still above 1 million. Doc says it will just take time. They are booting her out tomorrow! I'm so excited to get her home. Happy to think only 1 more trip to the hospital (hopefully) then we can go to Moms house to visit!

Almost lost all our snow again here,down to a few ice spots and dirty old piles of plowed snow. I spend more money at the carwash in winter than I do the whole year..lol

That's the worst part about melting snow = dirty vehicles!!!!

I could do that. Since the battery is over 3 years though I'm not sure how much longer it will last...most people I know say their battery lasts 3-4 years. I will check though.
