Thank God it's almost Friday!!
Harlowe did take her meds last night, and ate a little.
Fingers crossed today is even better for her.

They are showing our home (rental) today, hoping it's taken right away so no more showings. It's hard to organize our schedules, and we're not comfortable with people we don't know being in here while we're gone.

We woke up to light snow flurries again. Where was this back in December. Anyway it's not sticking here but it was heavy in some parts. Its bitter out and hard to believe we are almost in May with this weather. It's a three day weekend here with Monday as a holiday. Usually this is the kick off to the milder season and people start getting into summer mode. It's usually a BBQ weekend! I hope we get an actual summer to make up for this!

Good morning all my Christmas loving friends !
we had a beautiful sunrise this morning. The house smells like fresh baked sourdough.
Penny is trying to get the milk out of my glass and then walking around my head so it is hard to type right now LOL. now she has curled up on my arm. I like mornings with her she is so cuddly.
Did a bunch of work reorganizing here at home. The basement area is becoming my cake workshop. No carpet down there and the space is no larger than a small bedroom so it is perfect for this. I will now be able to organize all my tools better and best of all will not have to put everything away at meal time anymore. (a real time saver). Told my son I just need an oven and a sink and I will be all set ! He just rolled his eyes and went back to reading.
I have plans for a new business and will tell you about it when I get it up and running if it works out. Will know after my new workshop gets inspected by the health department.

But no.
One more shocking figure to present!

And you read that first number right. We have started, as of today, a ONE HUNDREDS LEVEL SEASON COUNT SEQUENCE!
(Wow. Just how can we possibly be down in the 100's already??)


Quite nice here weather-wise yesterday and the predicted rain did not develope.
It's overcast here this morning with precipitation predicted for later today and into tonight.
We stand just over 69 degrees at this hour here in the capital city.

We are heading to Philadelphia. My wife and I went to Philly a couple of years ago for a ComicCon, but we did not get to go to any of the sites. My wife is an art teacher and working on her Masters in Modern Art History, so she wants to go to the art museum. I, being a history teacher, want to see all of the historical places too. On the way to Philly we are going to stop at Gettysburg for a couple of days. I am a big Civil War buff and I teach a class on the Civil War. On the way home from Philly we are planning on heading to Sharpsburg Maryland for the Battle of Antietam. Then we will go to Harper's Ferry, West Virginia.

The Gettysburg, Antietam and Harper's Ferry is mostly for me. With my Civil War class, I take the students who want to go on the trip to those locations. The last time we took the trip we went with another school as a joint trip. This was because I am really good friends with the teacher from the other school and he has done the trip for the last 20 years. Next year I will be just taking my students and will need to lead the trip myself, so I want to go this summer to make sure I know where I am heading and can plan the trip the way I want it to go. So, I figured since we were headed that way as a family, it was a good chance to visit with no pressure. Plus, my wife enjoys the history and both of my kids are older enough to enjoy the trip.

Good evening MMC! I had to go to Pines early tonight because I'm spending the night at my moms! Emma left early for a wedding tomorrow so I am covering tonight! Mom is doing well – thankfully – and as I expected it was a wasted day for mom! Her appointment was at 1:30 and they left the apt at 4:15 after only drawing blood and telling her that her count is still high but it is better high then low and she needs to come back in two months! Geez! I'm thankful for that news but still what a joke!

I forgot to tell you all about the catalog I received in the mail today…

Yay! I'm on their mailing list, too. My mom used to order afghan kits from them, too.

Just another ho hum day here, it was our anniversary but we really didn't celebrate it since we barely saw each other. With all the things the kids are into we get very little time during the week. We will celebrate more on Sunday when we go to the next Black Wolves game. Thank you all for the well wishes.
I went and visited my grandfather today, he is doing well, if you could just keep him in your thoughts and prayers, they discovered a spot on his lung. He says he is starting to feel old, and he doesn't like it, seems very run down. He is 93 years old after all.
Work will be beckoning early enough, so.....

I didn't do much yesterday afternoon. Nancy made me plant a Sago Palm tree. Those things are really sticker-y!

We've been sort of tiptoeing around our manager this past week, after he announced his illness. He's seemed down (for obvious reasons), and it's uncomfortable. But yesterday was a good day, and today he's going golfing with some customers, so I'm hoping he has another good day. Please keep him in your prayers.
