Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

We have a new high school graduate living in house now! He had a great ceremony yesterday, then we went home with extended family and friends for a huge Low Country Boil. Jacob ate all the crab legs he could hold LOL. Then he left to go see a movie with some of his friends. I noticed that his car wasn't in the garage when I went to work this morning, though. Long night at the theater, eh?

I HAD to wear long sleeves this morning, as it was in the 40s (F). But I just couldn't bring myself to put on a sweater ... nope, uh-uh. Hoping it will warm up this week!

I hope so too. I have long sleeves on today too - my OSU sweatshirt & a short sleeve shirt underneath it & I'm still cold in the office! Feels pretty nice outside though. Wind is chilly.

Got wind of some work that could intrude on the Memorial Day weekend ... cross your fingers that it won't! I had back-to-back 11.5-hr days on Thursday and Friday, and this would be for the same client.

Fingers are crossed for you Merry!! And here we are complaining that we have 2 graduations Memorial weekend. Makes our complaints seem minimal!

DD's birthday is June 2nd and Hobby Lobby usually has some Christmas decor out before then, so it shouldn't be long!

DD is at work with me today---strep throat. Why is it that you take the kid in for a well visit & the next few days they end up sick? We went in Friday to have stitches taken out & Saturday morning she as a fever, vomiting, and sore throat. She didn't leave the house until last night to get more medicine. She's had a time of it the last two weeks. She missed a field trip today, but it was to a local park, so she wasn't upset. That made it easier for her to come to work with me. Just four more full days of school....let's get through this!

Wanting to watch something Christmasy soon. I'm starting to get back into the mood.

Yeah, I used to be able to do that many years ago. Don't even want to anymore.

Some nights when I lie down in bed I say outloud to myself "My whole body hurts." lol...I definitely feel it more now than I did when I was younger but I also feel in much better shape now so I can get up the next day and go at it again.

I've been watching this for the last 2 weeks and we have been holding steady at an average of 185 posts per day for the year. Right now we are almost 4000 posts ahead of this time last year. I know I'm new to posting here, but either there are more newbies like me posting or you all are more "chatty". Either way, I love the camaraderie here at MMC. I also love numbers/stats. I don't point this out as to set a goal or have a race, but merely an interesting reference of what's been going on here.

2008 = 5,103 posts = 13.9 posts per day.
2009 = 8,231 posts = 22.6 posts per day.
2010 = 16,226 posts = 44.5 posts per day.
2011 = 31,091 posts = 85.2 posts per day.
2012 = 39,183 posts = 107.1 posts per day.
2013 = 59,747 posts = 163.7 posts per day.
2014 = 63,096 posts = 172.9 posts per day.
2015 = 56,859 posts = 155.8 posts per day.

Very interesting statistics.

I do need that! My whole day is off now. I used to be able to pull an all nighter and be fine the next day. Seems like the older I get the harder it gets. I'm determined to still make it to the gym tonight after I put my son to bed though my body is saying "no, you must sleep"
