Good morning!! Happy Hump Day!! Check out that view to the weekend!!! :???:

Dom...you are so right about slowing the time down to enjoy the season! Always goes too fast. I guess that means we are having fun!!!

We had movie night at the lake last night. My mom, 1 of my sisters, 3 nieces & a nieces friend came. We watched Over Her Dead Body....very cute & funny movie if any of you are looking for a good movie to watch! :)

Have a great day all!!

Ah! Holiday has reached the Peak of the Week ahead of me today and has already checked out the view to the weekend. I agree - it's great!

Days to the Season: 127
Days to Christmas Day: 169
Days to the 2/3 Season milestone: 5.

Mid-70's and a bit overcast this morning here in Raleigh.
We had another nice rain last night, continuing to eat away at our drought.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, my Christmas friends!

~Ok...I'll try this again (got bumped off for no good reason).

I went to beautiful Lake Michigan today. Up early, low humidity...promise of low 70's and lots of blue sky. Packed the cooler, maps (I know this route backwards and front, but every girl needs to pack maps.) A stop at a McDonalds for a large java and on my way. Took a little over an hour and I pulled into Oval Beach in Saugatuck around 9:30.

WHAT THE!??? The place was swarming with people...MY nightmare! (the less people the better for me...but that's just me. )Turns out our leader Governor Granholm was signing "The Great Lakes Compact" right there on a brown picnic table with cameras and vans and tons of suits. This was one VERY important day for Michigan. We are protecting our lakes from those water deprived states that keep asking for it. These pristine lakes remain ours...for awhile at least.

I took my sheet down to the beach, watched some anxious dogs swimming out to their owners and felt proud to be from this wonderful state.

Also, glad I can come here with all of you...anyone who cares...and write what I feel.

:treeguy: You guys rock.

Yes, we do Cedar! If I do say so myself and I just did.

About Groucho. Thanks for the memories. When I was twelve, my parents took us to Second City Review - at the old Firehall in Toronto (this is where the future Second City and some Saturday Night Live personalities got their start) - anyway ... my Irish twin brother (born eleven months apart) was a huge Groucho fan. We watched all the movies growing up. One of the sketches included several "best scenes" and my brother continued to whisper Groucho's lines in my ear word for word along with the performer.
He sure dished out some Whoppers.

See how happy you are with life, when you first reached the beach you were not thrilled about the crowds, but once you investigated it, you were able to enjoy the day and put a positive "State" spin on the whole thing.

I wear my mask and snorkel (no tank) when I go to the lake so I don't want too many witnesses myself - but the mask and snorkel are like Dumbo's Magic Feather - without them I'd sink like a stone.

Happy Hump Day! Speaking of humps - howdy hi Carl the Camel. Hope you are leaving a few blends at the Shispering Pines for Crown to enjoy upon their return.

WAKE UP CROWN! No Sleep for you!

cheesy Okay, in case you read that wrong - the performer was not whispering lines in my ear.

Sounds like a great day to me Cedar!!! Glad you got a little r&r and alone time in...Some days the best medicine for me is an hour or so on my own...I mean I love my family and my wife but solitude has it's own rewards too!!! To watch the world and actually have a moment to formulate a thought or opinion about it is such a gift...As opposed to the run from thing to thing daily life with no focus on what is truly important...You have reminded me that I'm due for my hour!!!

Jay

Good morning! It's almost FRIDAY now!! :D

Cedar ~ sounds like you had an awesome day! I'm about due for a quiet day at the lake myself...though our lake is far from *pristine* I like to go there through the week when I have the landing to myself...before the weekend when all the "trunk slammers" come in! Don't get me wrong...I love my trunk slamming neighbors, it's just so peaceful to go out there by yourself through the week & watch the sunset!

Well, I better finish getting ready for work. You all have a great day!!

I'm up, Auntie.

Well, Cedar, I simply must visit Lake Michigan, someday! So far, I have only seen it from the air. It's BIG!

Good Morning all!
