Thanks for sharing! I always love to hear about everybody else's timeframes, too.

End of August / Beginning of September- Autumn Décor

Beginning - Mid September Halloween decor (I often put them out with Autumn décor depending on how much time I have over the weekend)

October 31st / Beginning of November- Thanksgiving (just a few Thanksgiving decorations)

Beginning-Mid November- Christmas décor

Very nice!
I've been trying to get Michelle to decorate for Christmas early, but she just doesn't want to before Thanksgiving. But I guess it's OK. It makes Christmas time more special.

It is just me, or does everyone else have dreams of going into stores and being so excited to see Christmas decorations everywhere? I would like to think I have had about four dreams of such this year.

I was super excited in my dream last night. The setting was probably September. I walked into a store and found Christmas everywhere. I was so excited... Then, my cat began to nudge me with his head because he wanted me to pet him at 5 AM. Although I do enjoy petting Simon, I do not appreciate being awoken at that house. Plus, I don't like the fact that he ruined my wonderful dream.

With that said, I think it is time to visit Tinseltown, Ottawa's year-round Christmas store, shortly!
I absolutely have had dreams like that. Having those these next few months will be even more exciting if they do happen because we're not terribly far away from that becoming a reality. The only time I had a nightmare about it was I woke up and it was Christmas Eve and I freaked because I was so unprepared. Fortunately I woke up and it was February 20th (well not fortunately but you get the idea).

I like your timeline.

I wish had those kind of dreams and a year round Christmas store to visit.
Hobby Lobby is the closest thing I have. They have Christmas decorations 7+ months out of the year. :)

Yes, to each his/her own! I know a lot of people feel that way.

I used to decorate for Christmas right after Thanksgiving, but about 4 or 5 years ago I decided to change that. I always felt sad or disappointed when taking them down-PCB's, if you will. And a lot of those blues stemmed from the fact that I didn't feel like I could enjoy them for long enough. Decorating at the beginning of November changed that for me-sure I still am sad to see them come down, but I'm also looking forward to the next year! If they all stayed out all of the time, it wouldn't be as special.

So true. I like that you decorate early. That would help me out also.
Between work, Christmas parties, and visiting family, there's not much time to enjoy everything. I would still wait until after Thanksgiving to decorate outside, but early November inside would be wonderful. ok35.png

We've had a couple. They worked great for us. We would record onto the hard drive, edit out the commercials (yes, you could do that!), and burn the material onto DVDs. Alternatively, you could record directly onto a DVD. The recorder could do it all! We still have one in working order, and it'll be a sad day when it finally dies.
I have a external portable I bought in March Merry that will do this. It was a whopping 22.00. You kind of have to know exactly what you are looking for, they dont advertise in ad that it will do it per se. Obviously to keep people from complaining about 'copy rights'.. all i need is a usb plug in for it to operate on any tv and a blank dvd

I gotta see them all year or I get all crazy. Nothing changes in Nov/Dec except for the fact the whole house is deco'd. I might not turn stuff on every single day,but its there if I want to.

I am doing pretty good, thanks. The weekend was nice! It was great to see my family.

We are still trying to figure out why Harlowe can't seem to get rid of this infection, hopefully she will let me get a sample from her tomorrow so I can have it tested more specifically. The vet seems to think more is going on, as this is her second round of antibiotics and the first should have healed it.
I'm praying!

What have you guys been up to? :)
Prayers for Har!! Thinking of you...
