Good morning all my Christmas loving friends !

Have not been here to much because I have been so busy getting ready for the upcoming conference in Niagara Falls on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Also starting to get a bit nervous having to speak in front of all those people. It will be fine, the nerves are more about not wanting to mess up than speaking as I have no problem getting up in front of everyone. Expecting around 2,000 people to be there. It will be nice to get away for a few days and be with friends and just have fun.

Good Monday Morning MMC! Should be an interesting week this week. My brother is stopping in from San Diego Tuesday through Thursday. He is on his way to Europe but is stopping in for a couple of days since he hasn't been here since Christmas. Saturday was a busy day for me and Sunday I wound up meeting my friend for a walk in the rain. Wasn't a nice day Sunday but I felt better getting out than staying home all afternoon with the dreary weather. Anyway, other than that I just hope it's a good day today and a good week for all of you.

Ah, there's one blessing you can count! We have to wrestle an air-conditioner into the window at the beginning of the summer, and haul it out again and store it when autumn comes. A fan is a LOT more lightweight!

Good morning everyone!
I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Michelle and I had a good time at the Blueberry Festival Saturday. It was small but nice. This festival was out in the middle of nowhere (Near @Bradmac ) and we drove thru several small towns that we've heard of but have never been to just to get there. It was nice to stay off the interstate and see the country. Almost every small town had a Dollar General and a Subway. And half of those had a Dairy Queen.

Oh, and here is the question we got a lot at church yesterday:
Did you get any blueberries?
No, they're not in season yet. So this makes me wonder why they would have a blueberry festival in June? There must be something behind it, but I don't know what it is.

Glad you had a nice time at the festival. I love getting OFF interstate & driving through small towns. I almost always look for the back way to get places. Odd though that they have a blueberry festival out of season. LOL! Have a great day Rich!!

We have reached another Milestone Week.

Yes, on Wednesday ('Pines Day!) we will open the 200-day Christmas Day Window and commence our journey through a double-100's count.

The fact this falls on Wednesday is, of course, not lost on Carl and no doubt there will be some theme for this week's open house that will integrate the marker.
Stay tuned.

A short, final trip to check the cottage and tie up some loose ends will be undertaken by yours truly after my Wednesday morning post, so a volunteer will be needed for one day only, this Thursday, June 9th.

Momentous occasion today: I moved up from Ornament Craftsman to Fruit Cake Baker here! Anyone hungry?

It's been one heck of a year already for us in my family...currently two members of the family in the hospital, another recovering from a broken leg, and another in and out of the hospital. Also, last night a family friend we've had for generations passed away. I'm a chaplain and had been at her retirement community before moving to my current community, so I've been asked to do her service. An honor but also so difficult!

I'm ready for some Christmas cheer. Who's got some today to share?!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

What a weekend!

I tried to open the pool Saturday afternoon, but it took all afternoon just to get the crazy pool cover off. It was covered in pecan leaves & rain water. By the time I got the cover off, the 95° heat and 100% humidity had almost killed me LOL. And by that time, the pool store was closed, so I couldn't buy any chemicals. So now I have an open, GREEN pool. LOL

We went to mom's after church yesterday for lunch. While we were there, a storm came up, and lightning struck the tree in the front yard. Then her power went out. She called later to say that the power was back on, but the lightning had busted a water line in the front yard. I went back and dug until 10pm last night. We found the damaged pipe, but we didn't have the right fittings to fix it. I got it ready to easily fix for her, and she capped the pipe this morning. After she turned the water back on, another water geyser appeared farther down the line. Darn that lightning!! I think it's my brother's turn to dig!

Then, there was no power at my house this morning, so I had to wear a hat to work. Grrrr.

Other than all that, things are great! LOL Seriously, thanks the Lord for this day!!

Oh, and today is Nancy's birthday!

I hope y'all have a great one!

We do the same thing! I keep trying to not turn it on but with the 90 degree weather today, that's just not an option. Looking forward to fall weather already!!

And one of them keeps unraveling the toilet paper rolls. I need to figure out who the culprit is. Not that I'll be able to make them stop. Anyway, my husband and my youngest both have birthdays coming up, I'm sitting here trying to think of gift ideas. I really need to get moving, I have a few errands to run and I feel like I'm already behind schedule. I'll be working on my daily chores as well.

I've never had cats because I'm very allergic but yours sound adorable and a handful all at once. Good luck on finding gift ideas for your family. My husband's birthday is next month and for the first time, I am stumped. I still have time, I'll figure it out.
