Thank you everyone. It is especially hard on Jackie (his wife) as they have been together decades. I feel so sad for her.

I love the sound of the fan when going to sleep. Another perk of the summer time. I always miss it in autum when it's too cold to have it on.

Yes, I do. I think it has something to do with my hometown having an annual carnival the week of the Fourth that was within walking distance! It was the best week of the summer. We could watch the July Fourth fireworks from my neighbor's carport just a few doors down. The warm night, the fireflies, the carnival lights and rides and food and games---all that is associated, in my mind, with the Fourth.

And yes, Flag Day is June 14th.

We got news this evening that Mr Festive's uncle lost his battle to cancer. Bill was a funny guy and will be missed.

I love those things too about the summer and the 4th!
 
Aunt got okay news...she's non-compliant with her therapy and no matter how much we try to convince her otherwise, she's still not completely able to follow instructions and put weight on that foot. Fear of getting hurt again is seriously hindering her and also me in the process. My dad's cousin's wife is going to be in the hospital for a while-they need to treat her anxiety. It's a lot to take in all at once, but you all have reminded me today that it won't always be this way and I can make it through! I've got good friends here and Christmas cheer. I won't always be a caretaker. I can do this!!!!!

You are so wonderful Festive-the whole community here is! Thank you so much! I love finding cheer here-it really does make a difference.

I hope the aromatherapy continues to help and your headache continues to go away-and really I hope that the heat subsides! We all have different definitions of what hot is-I couldn't handle the deep south or Texas in terms of heat in the US! Hope you sleep well! See you tomorrow!

Thank you DW. I am glad you are coping through. I admire your positive attitude.

LOL oh don't worry! I am coping with the heat and enjoying it! I am making the most of it while I can!

Yikes deep south heat is serious business! I have a deep hearted fondness for the American south though regardless :D:D
