Headed to the orthopedic surgeon with my aunt for her follow up-I hope it goes well. Being a caretaker is exhausting and I'm hoping she can really get some good news and get back on her feet again soon (she broke her leg in two places and dislocated her ankle back in early March).

Can't wait to get back-we're a chatty bunch here today and I'm so glad I'm able to chat since I'm not at work today! :)

Praying your aunt had good news!

Happy Tuesday! Hoping it's merry and quick for everyone!

A gorgeous summer day out there, but we're expecting thunderstorms later that may be severe. Getting excited as vacation days draw closer ... more dental work next week, though. If I had the money back that we've spent on dental work in the past year, BOY could we have a vacation! But no, the dentists are using our money for their vacations instead.
Isn't that the way it goes. You pay them to fix your cavities then 20-30 years later you pay them again to put a crown over it. Why can't they fix it right the first time? Where's the technology?

Anyway, Good morning MerryCarey and Merry "200 days till Christmas" Eve!!!

Some have central air conditioning, which works like heating---you just set a thermostat and the cooling is delivered by multiple vents throughout the house. Lacking that, you either have a built-into-the-wall air conditioner that stays in year-round (in the wintertime, the part that sticks into the outdoors is covered with a tight, weatherproof cover; many apartment buildings around here have one in each unit), or you have one or more A/Cs that can be mounted in a window during the summer and removed for storage during the winter. That's what we have. It's a hassle, but it beats sweating through the summer (especially at night) without cooling. Our window unit even has a timer---we can set it to turn on an hour or so before we get home from work, so we don't have the expense of running it all day.

Have you ever heard of a whole house fan? There was something about it on the last episode of Ask This Old House the other day.

Afternoon all,

I didn't get around to tidying the garden but tomorrow I will. My headache kept coming and going. It's not too bad now but I have been taking pain relief.

We got news this evening that Mr Festive's uncle lost his battle to cancer. Bill was a funny guy and will be missed.

Have a good afternoon/evening everyone.

Praying your headache is gone.
I am so sorry to read of the loss of Mr. Festive's uncle ~ my deepest condolences to him and the family. Keeping all of you in my prayers. (((hugs)))

Good morning, Festive!

Yes, Lucy had kittens. You are right, it is wonderful and they are adorable!! I wish I could save one of the babies for your boys! I hope you are able to get your housing situation sorted soon so that you can get the boys their pet and plan for Christmas!!!

Thank you so much!

Have a blessed day, my friend!
xx
It made me smile that you would save us a kitten. I would take two if I could! I wish!!

Thank you. It's a slow process and frustrating at times but I am thankful for what we do have until we can move forward.

Hope you are having a great day.

If it makes you feel any better, I'm sure they appreciate it!
Hope you get to enjoy some nice days off with no dental work! xx
Stay safe in the storms today! It's chilly here this morning. We have a window open & I had to put on my sweatshirt.
Have a great day!
Thank you for all the good wishes! Hope you will have a great day, too!

My fiancé has a fan on at night year round...she struggles to fall alseep if there isn't a fan on.

That sounds like me that i seem to struggle when i don't here the sound of a fan while trying to sleep. It's funny how something so small that we get use to, once it's gone how easy we notice.

I'm the same way.

HMG- Hope you get some rest!!

Holiday- Praying that Gracie is okay when you check on her at lunch.

MerryCarey- Praying all goes well with the dental work.

Festive- Praying your headache goes away soon and for Mr's family.

Good morning, HmG!
I hope your cats are being angels today and that you have/will figure out who the tp bandit is. Putting the tp on the roll where it hangs in the back and making sure that no sheet hangs below the roll lessened the attraction it had for Palmer. One bit hanging below the roll is fair game in her opinion, but otherwise she leaves it alone. She is back into either stuffing jingle balls in my shoes or putting them in front of the doors ~ her "alarms". When I opened the door the other day, three alarms went off. ;)
It's hilarious that Palmer sets door alarms! They're really ingenious in their own way sometimes!

I've mentioned the neighbor's cat, who has free range of the neighborhood. He comes by to visit occasionally (or even meets our car sometimes when we pull into the driveway!), and I give him some kitty treats on the back deck, which is adjacent to the kitchen window. If he feels he hasn't had enough, and he sees a light on in the kitchen, the li'l bugger jumps up on the deck railing, sticks his claws in the window screen, and rattles it. First time we heard that, we couldn't figure out where the sound was coming from. I opened the curtain to look outside, and came face to face with the little dickens meowing for more! To avoid this, we sometimes wind up putting our groceries away with the light off!

Merry Afternoon all,
I have spent almost the entire day on the front and back gardens. I have encountered every bug and insect there is! My gardens seem to be a prime spot for spiders too. Just came face to face with two tiger coloured ones on a web! Eeek! The amount of spider web is unreal. The wasps and bees were the worst though!

The thunderstorms they predicted yesterday and today haven't hit. There is a warning /advisory for torrential rain and hail. We know it's going to be rough when it hits Eeek :D

Hope everyone is having a nice day so far.

Good morning MMC! Merry Tuesday!!

Gracie threw up this morning down our driveway. UGH! I'm hoping it was just a fluke but I'm worried she'll get sick again. Hoping she's ok - poor girl! I took her for a walk this morning before that & she seemed fine 'n dandy. Maybe when my boss comes in for break I'll see if I can run home to check on her. o_O

Have a great Tuesday everyone!

Thank you. We know that he is in a better place and no longer suffering.

My headache comes and goes but I am coping. Cheers.
Praying your headache is getting better by the minute!
