Well, last night I ordered a "concoction maker" for the lake. I was thinking I will let Carl borrow it for Pines nights!

I have the feeling that Carl may have invented the prototype!

It totally poured Saturday! But it was a straight down rain so you are right - it was pretty on the water & we could sit under the awing & not get wet. It was a great weekend. Hope you had a great weekend too!

Gracie must have had a lot of fun running around with the cats. I honestly don't know how Loki would react. I don't know if he'd just sniff them or get into a fight with them. When we go on walks and he sees a cat, he REALLY wants to get closer but the cat won't have anything to do with him. But Loki wants to get closer to anything that moves, be it cats, dogs, squirrels, birds, cyclists, etc.


We have a portable AC unit as well. Does the job and easy to roll away when done.


It was an ok day at work. Now I'm winding down with hubby and Loki sleeping beside me. Hope everyone enjoyed their evening.

I wasn't sure how Gracie would react to the cats either. But these cats are more like dogs. LOL! I think they are confused. They aren't really sure what they are! And Gracie is the same way - rabbits, cats, squirrels, birds - oh those birds drive her crazy.

My fiancé has a fan on at night year round...she struggles to fall alseep if there isn't a fan on.

I use to do that - I would turn the fan the opposite direction so it wasn't blowing on me, but the sound would put me to sleep (and drown out other noises)

Good morning everyone! Why was I up at 5:45am on my day off?! (sigh) Darn my internal clock. Lots of errands to run and chores to do today but I'm hoping to get everything done this morning so that I can relax the rest of the day. I foresee a nap in the afternoon.

Oh no! I hate it when that happens!! Gracie pounced on us Sunday morning at 4:30 ~ I got up & when I went to crawl back in bed, she had snuggled up on my pillow!! Of course I couldn't disturb the spoiled rotten girl!

Good Tuesday Morning MMC! Well my brother should arrive this morning. He will be staying with my uncle. I should see him on Wednesday. Not sure if I will see him today or not. Only bad thing is when he visits now I'm working. At least in December I have some days off due to a certain holiday called Christmas that a few of you may have heard of. Other than that it's a warm day but I heard that Wednesday will feel like October (that will be fun for a day in June).

More rain last night as Tropical Storm Colin approached the Gulf coast and is supposed to move offshore from our cottage today. Fortunately, the winds are not predicted to be strong but I'm glad I scheduled a trip to go over there tomorrow for a final check.
We are at 72 wet degrees here currently but it is predicted to dry up this afternoon and for the remainder of the week.

Good morning everyone, Happy Tuesday!
I am exhausted, I have not been sleeping well the past few nights. Maggie has been waking me up around 2:30 and then I can't fall back to sleep. I'm just drinking my coffee and watching the news right now. My daughter is sitting with me, she's on my cell phone trying to help me with something. Apparently my Instagram account has a virus, I apologize to anyone here who follows me. I hope it hasn't affected any of you. It's frustrating because I'm not even that active on IG, I just post an occasional photo of Maggie or the cats. I guess it happens. My daughter thinks she resolved the problem. Fingers crossed. Anyway, I have lots to do today. More shopping for me, I'm still looking for a couple of birthday gifts and Fathers Day gifts. And I'm still looking for a dress for my nephews wedding. I hope I have a productive day!
