Good Morning friends! Just checking in today to see what's happening. I'm already thinking about Autumn and Christmas! I hope everyone has an excellent week!

Good morning! This morning my husband and I are going to the local dealership to try and buy our first newer car together that we didn't pay for in cash. We prefer not to have any debt but we both work as chaplains and HAVE to have reliable transportation to work. In our case, the old cars weren't doing it for us and were causing more headache. Today's goal is to have a new car by noon (and to not faint over how much money we're spending!) and to start getting the old one taken care of (it's sitting in the parking lot at the shop)...and then to run all the new car errands like transferring tags and registration and all that fun stuff. I also have work all day! Positive thoughts/prayers are welcome for buying a good car and getting it all taken care of swiftly and quickly!

I'm nervous this morning so of course I'm listening to Christmas music. Sometimes it's the only thing that does the trick to get my blood pressure down.

this is different from out usual posts here but feel it needs sharing to. This is a very heartfelt note from my nephew written about the hate crime shootings in Orlando......

I have been at a loss for words the past few days. Feeling very shaken and deeply impacted by this extreme hate crime that was committed in Orlando.

It is a scary reminder that by just being myself and loving my husband there are people out there who want to hurt me. Holding my husbands hand can literally be a trigger for someone to want to hurt us. It's is a reminder that I have gotten use to never really being able to show strong affection to the person I love most in this world in public without wondering who is looking. That while I feel safe most of the time, I still always have to watch my back. I could kiss my husband and literally inspire someone to want to kill and injure 100 people in a place that is suppose to be safe. This is the reality I live in. This is a reality that was before this shooting and will continue to be after this shooting. While the LGBTQ2 community has lots of love and support, there are still those out there who hate us just for simply existing.

But that said. I refuse to let hate win. We are far stronger then hate because we have love on our side. It is a stark reminder to me that this is why we need Pride. Not to watch a bunch of advertisements parade down a street with rainbow flags and sexy people (as fun as that is), but to know that we are a community that loves and supports each other. That we are Phoenixes that rise from the ashes.

I am proud to be who I am, and love the man I love. And no amount of hate can ever change that.

All of the LGBTQ community need support and prayer at this time and regardless where you stand on the issue we are all brothers and sisters and deserve love and respect.

Thanks for sharing CS! Such a senseless tragedy!

Good Tuesday Morning MMC! Happy Flag Day! It's a beautiful day out here but I'm back to work after a long weekend. Not so bad though because it shortens this week to 4 days. I rested a good amount so I feel refreshed. Just gonna try to have a good day (that's the plan every day isn't it?). I hope you all are ready for Day 2 of the week. It's amazing that we're already closing in on halfway through June huh? Anyone getting CIJ excited yet?

CRAZY that we are (almost) half way through June already. Our town festival is NEXT weekend! (24-26) My coworkers always say after the festival seems like summer is about over. Nooooo!!

Merry Tuesday MMC....I am enjoying time with my brother and is family. I should be able to take a 1/2 day today as long as one of my reports is reviewed this morning. We are planning on going to see my a couple of my aunts. It is chilly outside this morning, it feels like fall. Hope you all have a great day!

Good morning Edge and Happy Flag Day!
I am getting excited for CIJ and I'm trying to figure out a way to sneak the Christmas tree into the house and have it decorated before Michelle figures out what I'm doing. But, with her being off all summer, we spend all our time together when I'm home. Maybe she will go to the stores and that will give me some time. Her CIJ present should be arriving in 4-6 weeks.

I always have the same anxiety when buying a car. After a few days, once I realize that my budgeting and numbers were right, I begin to enjoy the vehicle and mailing the payment turns into something as routine as paying the utilities. I hope you find an amazing car!!

Merry Tuesday,

Back to school/nursery today. It will take a couple days to settle back into it especially with the change in weather. I couldn't even find my wellies and raincoat this morning. Feels so long since I needed those.

I am having some issues with anxiety these days. Hard to say if it's the result of my unsettling dreams of late OR the cause of them. It will be okay though. It will pass.

Just another grey, rainy day here in the north of England. We are at 55 at the moment but I feel a bit cold !!
