Down to a scant 12 days now until that 2/3 Milestone is reached.
(And that's darned close to SINGLE DIGITS!)


We had an unexpected dry day yesterday although it was rather humid and warm. It would be nice if we could get one rain free weekend day as well. We shall see.
It is overcast and muggy here in central North Carolina and our thermometer tells me it is 76 degrees outside at this hour.

Finally got some rain yesterday..not much but just enough to water my weeds (aka..lawn) getting rdy for our July 4th bbq.

Sitting on the livingroom floor minding my own business,surrounded by Hotwheels...my youngest boy suddenly stands straight up with no help! I am thinking that if he takes off running I am gunna pass out. 5 seconds later he decided its more fun on the floor crawling

Hello all! Happy holiday weekend!

Update on the A/C;Heat Pump. We decided to go ahead and get a new system. It is not cheap by any means, but they do financing so we are taking that route. Though we hope to pay it off way early. The system we are getting is a pretty high end system, but with rebates and such it brings the cost down to match the mid-range systems options. So, for the same money we figured it was better to get the higher end system. Plus the warranties are better and longer for this system (10 years on everything as opposed to 5 years on many things)
They originally said it would be the end of July before they could get out here, but they called yesterday and said things are moving ahead of schedule and they will be able to come out on July 11-13 to get the system in and running.

This systems should also save us money on the electric bill too, especially in the winter for heating.

Glad it's working out well in the long run~ it sounds like it will be very efficient.
