Good morning...hope you all had a great weekend. Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers for my Dad. I should be able to pick him up this morning as long as his blood levels are fine. Have a great Tuesday!
Good morning everyone!
I hope everyone survived the festivities unharmed. We had someone in the neighborhood shooting firecrackers until after midnight, but then they finally either run out or had the cops called on them.
My wife went for an early morning bike ride with a friend of hers, so Henry and I are just relaxing this morning. No big plans for the day. But... and the next couple of days it will be time to get things done around the house. My wife is going to paint the living room and I am going to be doing some yard work. But, for today, the plan is...relax and maybe listen to some Christmas music.

Days to Christmas Day: 173
Well, that is certainly interesting.
But this is REALLY interesting:
We are now down to SINGLE DIGITS to the 2/3 Milestone to Christmas Season 2016!
(Hey! Any left over fireworks we can shoot off??)
The weather cooperated for Independence Day yesterday and no rain fell to dampen our local fireworks display.
Today? Well. the precipitation is predicted to return but not to any significant extent. The main issue will be the heat and humidity.
Currently, our back door thermometer tells us it is already 80 warm and humid degrees here in the capital city.
(Whew!)

Good Tuesday Morning MMC! I think that we should make the 5th of July a holiday because the 4th is always a busy and tiring (late night). It was good though but I got less sleep than usual. I woke up tired and am feeling it today. Guess getting older you need your rest. But it was fun and the fireworks were really good. Only problem was it started raining at the end and on my walk home I got pretty much soaked. Seems like every year on the 4th we either get some rain or a threat of rain.

I wasn't able to make it here last night, my wife and I and friends went down to Mohegan Sun for a show from two of the guys from DWTS Maks & Val. My wife loves that show and we had a chance to go so we went for her to enjoy. It was a very good show, but had nothing to do with the TV show. They basically told their life stories and had themed dances to the story.
It was held in the arena where the Black Wolves play.
Today we set out early for our town's annual Summerfest, the parade and sights. It was hot downtown, but the parade was fun to watch.
We had a cookout after the parade and quite a crowd.
I am ready to get some sleep, tomorrow, for the first time during my vacation we have NO plans. I am looking forward to that.
