Good evening ~
We had a super busy, but great holiday weekend. My husband is on vacation the rest of the week. No big plans, I'm kind of happy about that. We hope to have some nice weather so that we can hang out by the pool and have a few barbecues.
I hope everyone had Happy Fourth of July!

I'm a little jealous of your hubby being on vacation this week. How could my 10 days off go so fast?? LOL

Good morning everyone!

I hope everyone survived the festivities unharmed. We had someone in the neighborhood shooting firecrackers until after midnight, but then they finally either run out or had the cops called on them.

My wife went for an early morning bike ride with a friend of hers, so Henry and I are just relaxing this morning. No big plans for the day. But... and the next couple of days it will be time to get things done around the house. My wife is going to paint the living room and I am going to be doing some yard work. But, for today, the plan is...relax and maybe listen to some Christmas music.

Well, that is certainly interesting.
But this is REALLY interesting:
We are now down to SINGLE DIGITS to the 2/3 Milestone to Christmas Season 2016!
(Hey! Any left over fireworks we can shoot off??)


The weather cooperated for Independence Day yesterday and no rain fell to dampen our local fireworks display.
Today? Well. the precipitation is predicted to return but not to any significant extent. The main issue will be the heat and humidity.
Currently, our back door thermometer tells us it is already 80 warm and humid degrees here in the capital city.
(Whew!)

Good Tuesday Morning MMC! I think that we should make the 5th of July a holiday because the 4th is always a busy and tiring (late night). It was good though but I got less sleep than usual. I woke up tired and am feeling it today. Guess getting older you need your rest. But it was fun and the fireworks were really good. Only problem was it started raining at the end and on my walk home I got pretty much soaked. Seems like every year on the 4th we either get some rain or a threat of rain.

Good morning MMC! It was tough to come to work this morning! Ahhhh - vacation time sure does fly!! How many years until I can retire!? Ha ha ha!! I don't want to wish my life away...but winning the lottery would be ok!

We had such a busy weekend, I'm exhausted! I have to run to the supermarket to do some food shopping. Other than that I'll be working on the laundry, I slacked the past couple of days and it really piled up. Not too much else going on, just going to take it easy today. Vacation is over, the Fourth is over, and it's back to work and the daily routine. Like a lot of others here, we're expecting very hot weather the next couple of days. Keep cool and hydrated!

My laryngitis is still hanging on---today is the beginning of the third week. I've been trying to ignore it, but it makes me feel so tired, I could put my head down and sleep right here on my desk. (I really enjoyed sleeping in during the holiday weekend!) But it's time to step up and be an employee again.

Still trying to recover from the weekend holiday here. Cleanup started this morning,now its getting hot out. My neighbor and their family had a great time with us and I managed to send leftovers home with everyone so we arent eatting pork until Labor Day..lol
