Christmas Countdown - 2016

I was shocked when I logged on tonight and saw there wasn't the usual 500+ posts to catch up on from QVC's Christmas In July. I have only seen a few things thus far, blankets and Mercury glass.
Considering one of my employees got fired while I was on vacation, it could have been a nightmare. I am lucky I have a great team.
MC, I hope the pain subsides quickly.Haven't been around this much because of misery ... I'll keep it short and then return to my couch of pain ...
With the laryngitis and fatigue still hanging on, I had a root canal redone on Tuesday. The following day I felt so crummy I had to go home from work sick, and I was home yesterday and again today. The tooth has been aching steadily and even hurting worse than Tuesday (kept me up part of last night), so I went to the endodontist's office this morning to get it looked at. Turns out I'm just having a "flare-up," so the only thing I can do until it resolves is try to manage the pain. She recommended using double the OTC dose of Advil, so I will try that and see if I can get some relief after three days of constant pain.
As for the laryngitis, I have an appointment with an ear/nose/throat doctor next week, but there are signs that it may resolve itself before then.
Okay, enough of me, now back to your Friday revels!
I will be sure to keep her in my thoughts.

Day 2 back to work was more of a computer work/conference call day. I hate those, I like feeling busy at all times.
Just enjoying a quiet night at home, my wife and kids took my sister and her kids to Six Flags for the day, and they are still not home yet. I treated myself to some Chinese takeout for dinner, and stopped at the DVD trade store. I was lucky there, I picked up "Home Alone", "Home Alone 2", and "The Polar Express" on blu ray for a total of $10!!!!! I have been wanting to upgrade some of our Christmas movies to blu ray, and I couldn't turn down that price.
I have to go in tomorrow earlier than usual, I have to train an opener to replace one that was fired last week.
I may pop in once or twice before I head to bed, slow night in here.

I could have sworn you love the heat...It was quite hot here too today. I didn't like it.
