Christmas Countdown - 2016

Long day at work yesterday, 12 hours to get caught up on my tasks and to attend a managers' meeting. Today I'm training 3 new hires and have to get everything done for the weekend, so another long day in sight.

Tomorrow is my husband's birthday, so I'm just putting together a nice, quiet day of celebration for him. We never do big parties or the like, neither of us likes big gatherings.

Good Morning!
(And aren't all Weekend Eve mornings good?)

OK, then. Sit back, relax, sip your tea and prepare to digest this morning's figures, presented to you without commercial interruption:
Days to the Season: 114
Days to Christmas Day: 156

And Figure #1 above informs us that we are, as of today, precisely TWO WEEKS away from the 100-day Season Window and the beginning of a DOUBLE DIGIT Season count!


Well, there was at least a small break in the weather pattern yesterday as the temperature and humidity were down a bit. It was almost -- but not quite -- refreshing.
A steady climb lies ahead however, toward the upper 90's which we should reach tomorrow and Sunday with heat index figures in the triple digits.
(( Ouch! ))
We are currently at 77 degrees here in the capital city and it's already getting muggy.

TGIF, my Christmas friends!

We're still doing the camp-meeting thing every night, so I'm doing more driving around the county than I usually do at night. I've been seeing lots of deer, possums & coons, that's for sure! I had to stop in the road night-before-last to let 6 deer cross the road and jump a fence. It was pretty cool to watch.

We're having lunch with mom today, then supper at the campground.

Ok...don't know why this is sideways, but if you lie on your left side, this is a view out of a big window where I work. Only about a 100 yds away, you should be able to see another building called Davies Center (where I'm getting married in 57 days). Just a little bit foggy today. Can't even see a building thats 30ft away.

Good Friday Morning MMC! TGIF! Can't believe it's ANOTHER Friday in the summer. Next Friday I have a vacation day and then 2 weeks later on the 12th also. I actually have a lot of work to do so I almost should go in those days but I can't or I will lose PTO time which is basically a crime if you ask me. Looking forward to this weekend despite the heat wave. Good weekend to stay in some a/c and watch some Christmas shows.

We saw a couple deer on our bike ride the other night. They are beautiful...as long as they aren't jumping right in front of your vehicle driving down the road!
