No I have not! She actually didn't do too bad this weekend. Friday night there were a couple fireworks really close to our trailer so she crawled under the bed, but during the main fireworks from the fest she was fine. I will have to look into those. Doesn't look like there is protein in them. We have to watch her protein intake. Thanks for the tip! :)

Now let me ask you -- is it possible we will be down to SINGLE DIGITS to the 100-day Season Window the DAY AFTER TOMORROW??
(Well, I've never known the numbers to lie to us, so I guess it's true!)


It was downright oppressive here most all day yesterday, even into the evening after dark. Mother nature has hung a hot, wet blanket over us and is just not inclined to remove it any time soon.
More of the same situation is predicted today and we have commenced it, and the new week, at a sultry 81 degrees on the way to the upper 90's.


You have a Marvelously Merry Monday, Folks.
And start the new week right by humming a Christmas tune with thoughts of the Season dancing in your heads!

It sure is hot down here, but I'm still feeling Christmassy! It was 101°F yesterday afternoon, and we have another week of it coming, according the 7 day forecast. So what?!? Bring it on! It's Christmas in July!!

It's also the 4-year anniversary of my heart attack, and I thank the Lord for each day he gives me with my family. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Father God!

Thanks! It was a good weekend all in all! Unfortunately a 10 year old autistic girl drowned in our lake, not all that far from our trailer Saturday morning. We didn't know her or the family, but still so sad. My nephew is a fire fighter & he is the one who found her. :( Also a family friend of my nephews from up north went missing last week & they found her body on Saturday. (CREEP!) Both were such freaky things. Makes me so sad. BUT our family Olympics on Saturday were a blast, the reunion with Jims family yesterday was nice (and HOT) We picked up Mom after the reunion & went to listen to my nephew (through marriage) sing/play guitar outside at the bar up the road from Moms house. He's so entertaining. Several of my nieces/nephews were there as well as my bro & sil. Fun times! Poof weekend gone! Hope you guys all had a wonderful weekend!!! xx Hugs to Har! :)
