Christmas Countdown - 2016

Good Tuesday Morning MMC! Happy Tuesday! The final week of July as we roll forward eyeing August. Scary isn't it yet really exciting. Monday was about as oppressive as of a day as I could remember. The humidity was through the roof besides the heat. Today fortunately the humidity has dropped so even though it will be warm to hot the humidity will not be crazy. Just moving along my 2nd day of 4 this week before a 3 day weekend again.

Good morning all my Christmas loving friends !!!

Heat is giving us a bit of a break today but promises to be back next week.
Work today and tomorrow then off for 3 days because of a mixup with my vacation schedule. Not to start vacation till the 12th . O well, will enjoy for now and get some work done around the house.

Praying you and yours are all well, will have time to catch up with my unexpected time off.

want to share my kitchen update. This cost me less than $10 to do as I got a box of 30 tiles for only $5 at a yard sale.
made a nice back splash for my counter

and enough left over to transform my table

How exciting!!
Are you having a staycation, or traveling?

We'll spend 3-4 days with one of my husband's friends at their family's house about 4 hours away, they have a cabin in the woods (and flies, lots and lots of flies). After that no plans yet, but we want to take day trips with Loki to various places. Spend as much time outside as we can.

But before you do, mark it well that as of TOMORROW, we will have declined to SINGLE DIGITS to our next Milestone marker, the 100-day Season Window.
And then, of course, DOUBLE DIGITS to the launch of Christmas Season 2016!


Well Folks, we are truly in a weather rut here. Day after day after day of the same conditions: high heat and even higher humidity, with triple digit heat index figures.
Relief?
It won't come before this weekend at the earliest and it won't be dramatic, just a slight lessening of the severe conditions.
We have started off at a breathless 80 degrees here in the capital city, and unfortunately that lawn really needs mowing.
(Note to self: remain hydrated!)

Been up since 5:30am, first to see my husband before he went into work really early and then to prepare some documents for work, do some laundry, run the dishwasher, prepare supper (I'm doing an afternoon/evening shift), and do some cleaning up.
