Christmas Countdown - 2016

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

So far, my efforts to make our golf cart run again have met with stiff resistance. But fear not! I shall endeavor to persevere!!

After church, we had lunch at mom's. It was so hot, we couldn't go outside. Then a storm blew up, it rained for an hour and the temp really dropped. We all went outside to enjoy the storm. I've always loved to sit on the porch and watch thunderstorms.

Sadly, we didn't get much rain in Bellville, but I'm sure the Lord will send it when it's time.

And the fact that there is no more weekends without football until mid February is just absolutely awesome.

If you ever get bored watch some of the Wasp vids on Youtube and the lengths people go to decimate them. There is one in particular that almost had me rolling on the floor. Title was something like "Hotdog vs Wasps" or "Electric Hotdog vs Wasps" its a priceless vid.

Forgot to let you know about the pic Brad!! My friend said its a Photoshop but quite a story behind it being made. Guy that did it rounded up friends and they did the Christmas attire. He had to arrange them all to stand just like the real actors. He says it took over 200 photos to get 1 that was usable.

Good New Month Morning, in fact.

Yes, hard though it may be to believe, we have completed the month of July already and moved boldly forward into the last full month of Summer.
After that......well, we know.

Days to the Season: 104
Days to Christmas Day: 146

Our next Milestone, the100-day Season marker, is now barely over HALF A WEEK OFF.
(Doesn't seem possible, but it is. Just check out our handy-dandy Milestone Marker Chart at post number one of this thread.)
And after that, can a DOUBLE DIGIT Season count be far behind?
Of course not -- it's the very next day!!
If that isn't enough, listen up. As of today, I can officially state that this year's Christmas Blossoms thread will launch NEXT MONTH.
(Now aren't you really starting to feel like we are beginning to close in on Christmas Season 2016!)


Hot and humid again yesterday until an evening thunderstorm brought considerable relief.
Will that break hold through today? I doubt it, but we can always hope.
Currently, we have commenced the day at 77 degrees here in our little sector of the great MMC Nation.

Well guys...my brother and I decided to go see about dogs today. I called up a place and they had 3 Boston Terriers. We decided to go. 1 was already gone by the time we got there. They brought out both and 1 of them ran right up to us and started playing with his toy. It's hard to explain but if you're a dog person you understand. He was running back and forth playing with us. The other one was nice too but it just felt like this one wanted to come with us. We played with him for a while and then other people came in and started looking at him saying how cute he is. We knew then we had to decide...so we decided to take him. We couldn't take him home today cause he has a little cough they said (although i didn't even hear him cough) but the fact they told us that and said we want to make sure he's 100% ok when you take him made me feel good that this wasn't a place trying to rip us off. It wasn't cheap but I never handed over my credit card so fast for anything. We may go visit him on Wednesday to see his progress and we hope by late week/next weekend we can take him home. He's 4 months old. Right now we think we have a name but it's not 100%. We think it's going to be Rollins.View attachment 27224 Here's a pic. He is so adorable Edge. Sending good thoughts that he will feel better fast so you get to take him home. And you are so right about the dog chosing you. When my husband went to pick-up our dog, I had told the woman over the phone that we wanted the female (sha had one male and one female left). But when David arrived, the male was sitting quietly while his sister was barking mad. To this day, David lovingly says that Loki "tricked him" into chosing him by acting so sweet and quiet, but later revealing to us that he too is a barker.

4:22AM. It's my day off, so to speak. But I Have a lot to do beginning with something little like getting my new registration for the vehicle. Also trash day and time to get a few yard things done. Good Monday Morning MMC! Happy Monday & August! The last month before the Bers begins. I had 3 days off but was so busy it didn't feel like it. Between errands, the mall, hiking, and looking for a dog the weekend was pretty busy. Thanks to everyone for the congrats on Rollins. I plan on checking on him by Wednesday to see how he's doing and if he's close to being ready to coming home. He's so small...they told me about 7 lbs. I was nervous even holding him. But his personality is a lot bigger than his size.
I hope you all have a great day and relish all month long in the fact that OUR time of year is now just a month away!

Happy August! Just working today..my oldest daughter is at soccer camp this week so I have to pick her up at 11:30. I did not sleep well last night...not sure why but I had terrible insomnia so extra caffeine is in order today. Just work for me and after work I need to go to the grocery store. When my husband went to pick-up our dog, I had told the woman over the phone that we wanted the female (sha had one male and one female left). But when David arrived, the male was sitting quietly while his sister was barking mad. To this day, David lovingly says that Loki "tricked him" into chosing him by acting so sweet and quiet, but later revealing to us that he too is a barker.

Thanks! This guy had so much energy and was so playful. The other one was so quiet and shy. She was nice. This guy was nice but...with a little wild side lol. You never know though how they will develop over time.
