Happy Pines Day, Christmas friends!

When I got home from work yesterday, our niece was at our house with her boys in the pool. I hung out with her for a while, till Nancy got home. Her boys were having a good time, then they got out and started climbing in the back of my truck. Then they got on the trailer that was parked beside my truck. I told them not to go too close to the back of the trailer, or it would see-saw down quickly.

About 30 seconds after I went inside, I heard a loud squeal. Then Nancy came in for peroxide and Band-Aids. Boys. We never learn. LOL!

Mom is not coming with us to the wedding. I wish she would in a way, but she will probably be happier staying at home. There is a lady from town here coming to stay with her while we are all away. 2 of my nieces aren't going to the wedding either, so I'm sure they will be checking in on her/bringing their kids to see her too. It's just a shame my bro/sil are home, but she will only get to see them tonight, before we leave tomorrow morning, Sunday night & before they leave Monday.

Good Tuesday afternoon, Christmas friends!

I just got back from my bi-annual stress test at my cardiologist's office. I hate that treadmill! The guy operating it asked if I was ready for it. I said sure. He said, "It doesn't matter. The treadmill always wins." LOL And he was right!

Anyway, after four hours of the aforementioned treadmill, CT scans, and Doppler imaging, I again passed with flying colors. Thank you, Lord!!

I'm back at work trying to catch up on what I missed. I hope y'all have a great day!

My 6 day stretch is done, 2 days off, work Friday and then vacation.

So this was our last day at the cabin in the middle-of-nowhere. We went to a beach by a lake even further away, great sand and clear water, really nice. We were outside all evening and they built a fire. It gets so dark here that you get mesmerized looking at all the stars in the night sky. But mosquitoes love me and the feeling is NOT mutual, so I turned in a bit early to get away.

He was never a big birthday enthusiast, but he has learned to enjoy them. We have been together for 14 years, and I think it would now feel foreign to him to not celebrate. I think he took turning 40 in stride! Our night was pretty low-key, I picked up some pizza and a cake. We ate, he opened his cards & presents, and took Harlowe for a walk. Then we squeezed in an episode of Stranger Things. It was fun
We will go out to one of his favorite restraunts on a weekend when we have more time.

I remember turning 30 being more of a difficult one for me at first.

Glad all is back to normal for you!

Good morning MMC! Merry "Friday"! Tee Hee! Ok, Merry Pines Day! Looking forward to getting this work day over with & then bring on wedding weekend! My brother/sil are flying in from Cape Cod this afternoon. Can't wait to see them! We are having pizza on Moms deck tonight to discuss what time we are leaving in the morning & what route we are going to take! Hoping to avoid I-75 as much as possible with convertibles! I have a lot to get done before we can lave. Corn was ready to be put up, so we did that last night! We froze a gallon bag + 17 quart bags. Glad that's done, but wasn't planning that for this week, ah well - so yummy!

Happy Pines Day!
It's going to be a nice day, sunny with a high of 80 degrees. I'm going to take a ride to the outlets with my youngest, she's looking for a birthday gift for her best friend. We'll probably stop for lunch while we're there as well. I love walking around the outlets when the weather is so beautiful. I already straightened up the house and started laundry. My parents just came home from Pennsylvania so we may stop by for a quick visit if I have the time. My parents have an apartment in their house and the tenants just moved out. My mom said the apartment needs a good cleaning, I want to take a look around and see what we're up against.
I forgot to mention that I spotted my first display of candy corn in the supermarket yesterday. So exciting

Good Wednesday Morning MMC! Happy Pines Day! Today is my brother's 34th birthday (the one in San Diego). Hard to believe how old we're all getting. It's a beautiful morning here almost feels like September! Lower temps than we've had and less humid. It's a sign of so many amazing mornings and days to come in the Bers. I plan on going to vision Rollins after work to check and see how he is doing. I hope he's doing better for his sake. As I said I didn't even know he was sick unless they told me had a little cough. Will see and let you guys know tonight any updates I get.
