Christmas Countdown - 2016

Merry Saturday! I don't think we are going to the beach today...it is overcast and way too humid for me...lol I plan on catching up on laundry and just relaxing. My oldest daughter may have a pick up soccer game so we will take her to that otherwise a quiet day! Have a great Saturday!

Good Morning everyone, Hope all is well for y'all. JUst relaxing and waiting on the Directv guy to hook up service at the new house. Decided to watch Weather channel live on the computer, and they did a thing in vale Colorado for a Kids Adventure thing and said the temps right now is 30 F. Man call me jealous it is suppose to be just shy of the 90's today. Think it is the first day under 90 since end of June.

Well, spent a few hours in the office...the wind started blowing....the coffee was still hot....so what better to do than sit on the deck and enjoy the breeze?

Rain moving in...not gonna complain. It will keep me in the house and help me be lazy. Think I might look for some Christmas stuff today. Heck, I might try to talk Doc into going to Hobby Lobby and checking out the Christmas gear!

Good morning everyone. Day four is down on this work week, which leaves me just 3 years, 7 months and 15 days to go. How time flies when you are living the dream... lol
Sorry to hear the beach is out for today, but on the lighter side at least you do not have to plan a vacation to see it. South Dakota is a long way away from my teen years on Zuma and Malibu beaches. Christmas CDs are now in the car and getting me pumped for those countdown days ahead.

Harlowe had another restless night, so we will be taking it easy today.
I have some things to get done around the house, plus I want to relax some too. Mom is going to an estate sale- she went to preview it yesterday, and says she's got her eye on a few things for me, and to stay close to my phone. I love my mom, so thoughtful!
She said some are Halloween decorations.

Morning/Afternoon everyone. Horrible humidity today and the local Armory has no AC to offset the classroom teaching today. Then they hand out MRE's for lunch... its off to Starbucks for me..lol!!

MREs are rough, but not as bad as the old "C" rations. Especially that canned scrambled eggs and ham. Even the memory causes my stomach to rumble... lol

Good Saturday Morning MMC! Another hot and humid summer weekend. Hopefully not too many of these left. September can be warm but usually isn't this hot and humid (although last September we did have several days in the 90s but it's more unusual). I'm hoping to get a phone call this morning. If not, I'm calling and going there myself. I think it's time for him to come home...I hope. I just hope they don't say wait another week. I might have to decide then what to do...just take him home with medicine or leave him again. He doesn't even sound sick or act sick. But I am glad at the same time they didn't rush him home when he was coughing a little.

We still had C rats when I first went in the Corps. They were at the end of their shelf life though and some people would get bad ones. I pretty much had MRE's for my whole 23 years..no more..lol!!

Good morning, Good morning! Saturday is so great I had to say it twice. Filling in for the great and legendary Crown this weekend let's take a look at our count this wonderful Saturday morning:
Days to the Season: 92
Days to Christmas Day: 134

And speaking of wonderful how wonderful is it guys that TOMORROW we reach the 3/4 marker to the Christmas season milestone??? Let that sink in for a moment. 75% of the way...wasn't it just yesterday we were in winter and yet summer is already starting to wind down. Unbelievable.

Ok one and all have a Sensational Saturday and tomorrow we will celebrate the big milestone!

Another rainy day here but at least it has broken the streak of hot and humid days. But I'm not ready for Fall yet. Went out early this morning to Ikea and found a rug for the living room. Nice and shaggy too. Hope everyone enjoys a nice Saturday!

Maggie's hanging in there. Still coughing but she's wheezing less, pretty sure the antibiotics are helping. Hopefully she'll continue to improve.
