We lost power again last night, so I was up a bit trying to find a back up alarm.
Wasn't out for very long, maybe 45 minutes. The storm clouds were beautiful, though. Came out of nowhere.
I am hoping to hear from Harlowe's vet this morning before she starts to see patients, that would be ideal.

I have some things to do today on my day off...and I think you know by now what I HOPE that is. Other than that, my brother had a good birthday with pizza and cake (and a friend came over for it). That reminds me of when Gracie started with all her issues & she had to go to the vet everyday for a week for IV's....her little wrapped paw made me feel so bad!

My conference was a huge success. We had about 1000 men show up. Mike Huckabee said it was one of the smoothest conferences he's been to. Looking forward to doing it again in 2018.

I hope you all are doing well. My shoulder surgery (scheduled for yesterday) was postponed a week due to the air conditioner going out in the O.R. So now I'm back at work with everyone asking me why I'm here. :rolleyes::)

We are at 80 typically humid degrees here, currently.


Well, Carl is well aware of the weather situation and so this evening's entertainment is centered pool side. Drinks are free at the pool IF you are willing to sample Carl's latest blend recipes.
(Based on past experience, you should think before you sip!)
Anyway, I'll be there. Hope you will be, too.

Enjoying beautiful Vermont even though this trip has been a wet one with all this rain.

My daughter capsized her canoe, lost her phone at bottom of lake and looks like our cannon camera and all the lenses are toast. But she had on her life jacket and despite having to swim back to shore towing the boat behind her she is fine. She was rather shook up for awhile because she was alone at the time. Another boater was out there and just went past her not even offering to help. :mad: Thought it was standard to help someone on the water. But like I said, grateful she is fine.

Still 4 days to go !
Having dinner out tonight at a Chinese buffet, going to be good !

Good morning MMC! Happy Hump Day! Merry Pines Day! So far it's been a dreary morning - I don't think we're supposed to get rain today but I guess we'll find out!

Last night I put up 25 pints of pizza sauce (broken down in smaller jars) - ended up with 12 8-oz jelly jars, 14 12 oz. jelly jars, 6 pint jars & 1 quart jar + some leftover I put in the fridge! That's enough pizza sauce to last us a LONG TIME! HA! It just so happens our friends son works for a trucking company who had a whole skid of tortilla shells rejected so last night he gave us 3 huge packs of tortilla shells! Guess what we're having for supper tonight?? Yep, pizza's on tortilla shells. Mmmmm!

@Edge612 - I'm excited for you this morning! Can't wait to hear you have the little trouble maker at home!

@snowflake22 - been thinking about you guys! Praying for all good news today. Hope you all had a good night last night! xx

Her husband has also been struggling with a long-term illness for the past few months, it's awful for both of them. That's when you're reminded that there's nothing more important than health. Sadly I only really understood that when I turned 40. But it's never too late to take better care of yourself I think (I hope). Enjoy your night everyone!

Good morning everyone. 1 week until the first day of school. I went into my school and classroom this morning to drop some things off and Nathan had cross country practice. The new elementary/middle school looks great and they have done some renovations to the high school. Looking forward to the start of the school year!
