2 days off last week, another 1 + change this week and my supervisor and boss out of the country shoot I've been on vacation mode the last 2 weeks. Once the Bers come then it's time to work full-time again lol.'Ain't it great!!

Yes I love Fridays and now with Rollins weekends will be even more fun. I may start a tradition with him like I did with Nitro. I used to give him a special peanut butter cookie on Friday evenings to celebrate the weekend. If I said to him "Nitro is it Friday?" he'd get all excited and knew what that meant.'Ain't it great!!
Too cute!! Probably like Gracie when I ask "Do you want to go to the lake?"
Also, every morning Jim can't get out the door without her. She follows him out on his heals b/c he gives her a dog biscuit b/f he goes. LOL
I just came in from having a late lunch under a tree in the courtyard of our campus. Felt so good to feel the effects of the sun without being scorched by it. Now I have roughly about two hours before my day ends. I can do this!!!

It's ok part of the fun during the Bers is all week long thinking about how amazing those weekends are with the holidays, football etc. I still with sleep in a 3 day weekend or 2 this autumn before the holidays hit.Boooooooo!
I'm a routine person and I know a lot of people have their routines. Animals totally pick up on them.Too cute!! Probably like Gracie when I ask "Do you want to go to the lake?"

Hi gang. Sorry I've been away so long. Count downs are a little depressing to me when our son is home from college and I'm wanting time to slow down. We moved him back to college yesterday so I'm ready to start counting the days to Christmas again.
We've had a little excitement in our small town today. A gas station has a leak in one of its tanks and gas has gotten into a nearby stream. All of our restaurants, hotels, and our only daycare are closed until city water can be tested. Its a blow to a town that depends on tourism.

Don't worry Gramsey your son will be home before you know it. Whether we want time to slow down or go faster I feel like there's nothing we can do to control it. I used to rush time some times when I was a little younger (like on a Monday oh I wish it was Friday). I gave that up for the most part the last few years when it started scaring me how fast time goes.

Oh yeah that's why I love summer too. I enjoy taking more days off in the summer than any other time of year. By the way...I remember you and I on June 1 saying how those 3 summer months were gonna go fast. Well...thoughts? lol
Does Gracie attack the mailman? Nitro used to (or at least bark his head off and jump at the door).

LOL! She will bark at the mail lady from the window if she's inside, but outside she just stares at her! Ours is delivered to a mailbox so she never gets out of her vehicle. Now the UPS man (no, not Jim)....Gracie waits for him & her tail goes 10000 MPH!! He will come up to pet her sometimes even if we don't have a package. And she jumps on him & tries to lick him to death.

Interesting. I wonder how I can make Rollins a little more open to people than Nitro was. Nitro was more like me I guess...he had very few people that were "his people" and everyone else well...he felt they were a danger to us. I want Rollins to be somewhat protective certainly but maybe at least a little more open to being friendly with strangers.

When Gracie was a puppy we socialized her right away. Maybe a little too much!
We brought her different places, like to moms, my sisters, friends houses. We also asked friends to stop over (bribed them with food & drinks...HA) so she would be use to people coming & going. My sister would pick her up when I was at work & take her home with her. She had a lot of company her first month or so with us! We got her on a Saturday & that Sunday we took her to a friends Daytona party. She was with 40'ish people & very very spoiled! She fell asleep on their heat register. HA! We also socialized her with other dogs as well. Good luck! - Status
