Happy Saturday! We are thinking of going to the beach today but not sure on the weather it is a bit cloudy. Tonight my oldest daughter has a bday party and is sleeping over at a friend's house. Hope you all have a great day!

Good Morning, Frolickingly Fantastic Fete Fans, Fearlessly Following our count.

And here it is:
Days to the Season: 85
Days to Christmas Day: 127

And get this now -- our next Milestone, the 2/3 marker to Christmas Day -- is just barely over HALF A WEEK AWAY!
(Hardly seems possible, and yet.........)

Well, it is subtly cooler and less humid than earlier in the week, but real relief will not arrive until Monday, when (hopefully) we can genuinely feel a degree of comfort.
This morning has commenced here in our portion of MMC land at 79 degrees.

Have a Sensational Saturday, Everyone!
Enjoy your Weekend.
Thanks Crown!

Saturday morning. Made it through another night of living the dream. Starting to sort out the Christmas boxes and boxes and boxes... where does it all come from? Oh well, I'll have fun and then pass some of it along to others. Hope you make it to the beach today. We have had three days of on again, off again rain. A bit dreary, but the lawn sure looks better. Always try to find something positive. Have a wonderful weekend all and I'll catch up with you later.

Good morning ~
Merry Saturday!
Just started laundry and tidied up the house. I'm heading out as soon as I finish my cup of coffee, I have to make a big food shopping trip. Back home afterward to work on some more chores around the house, I'm going to start deep cleaning. I want to get the house in order, I'll be taking out my Autumn decor before I know it. Can't wait to decorate!
I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

It's so exciting HMG! Walking into the local supermarket this morning seeing all the Halloween/Thanksgiving stuff out.

Love it!!!

Attention all COOKS!
While talking with Edge about desserts I was reminded of something my Grandma made and I cant think of the name of this apple dessert.
It was a peeled and cored apple that had butter and sugars and spices put in the center. It was wrapped in a pie crust and baked in bowls. I cant think of the name now and its driving me crazy..lol. It was pretty much a individual apple pie but not quite the same. Anybody know what these little gems might be called?

They are called "Old Fashioned Apple Dumplings". Would you like the easy recipe?

You as well. Little bits and pieces are going up here each week.

Lol!! I mentioned that name but didnt think it was right.. I will definately take the recipe. She gave me her crust recipe once, but I believe she gave me a edit'd version..like it calls for Crisco and I am sure she used Lard..etc
I'll put it together for you shortly. Of course the easy version will have you using a pre-made crust that you can find at the store. A homemade crust is cool, but will require a bit more time. Be back with you in awhile.Apple Dumplings.jpg
