Good morning MMC! Merry Friday Eve! Merry Rudolph Day!!! -reindeer-

@made582 hope you all stayed safe in the tornado's/storms last night!

We had a little rain & rumbling this morning - and a beautiful rainbow. Jim was just letting Gracie outside when she heard the 1st rumble. Straight to the basement she went! She came back up when she heard me get the turkey out for her medicine so I shut the basement door. She wasn't very happy! I had to carry her outside, put her leash on & drag her to the middle of the yard & she finally went potty. That poor girl is so terrified of storms! When I left for work she was happy under her table in the basement! ;)

Everyone, have a wonderful day! FOUR months til Christmas!!! :D

Holiday - your Gracie sounds like my Buttercup. She won't let you out of her sight, let alone go out to use the bathroom when there's a storm approaching or in the midst. We've just quite trying to win that battle. I use to have really bad anxiety when it came to thunderstorms myself several years ago. I mean it was bad. Things have gotten much better although I still get a little nervous but I figured I had to get over my anxiety because it made no sense for me and the dog to cower under the kitchen table every time a storm rolls through. LOL

Good morning everyone!

It's getting closer till the weekend! I for one cannot wait. I almost called out "sick" this morning just so that I could sleep a little longer but my Christian conscience got to me and I reluctantly got out of bed. Just seems like I hardly ever get to sleep in just a little. Even on the weekends I'm up and going, going, going. This Saturday I've got a medcheck appt for Lizzybeth at 8:45am. Was I insane when making that appointment??? LOL Then one more final meeting to finalize things for London's schedule for college and groceries. Then we'll end our day with a visit to our state fair. Going opening weekend is always the best! Sunday is the first choir rehearsal of the season so that will be fun. We take the summer off simply because folks are away on vacations and trips that it's just easier to take a break then have a different size choir each week. So I'm excited as this will be my 2nd year - yep that's right I'm now considered a seasoned vet. hahaha My voice however is still a work in progress.

What's everyone got planned this weekend?
Hope you can get some sleep this weekend but it sounds like you're going to be on the GO! Enjoy! :)

We have no major plans for the weekend. I'm staying with Mom tomorrow (FRIDAY!) night & we'll be at the lake the rest of the weekend.
Have a great day ladybug!

A lot of times on Christmas Eve Nitro would be impatient when we put the presents around the tree he wanted to open them...just like us he is impatient for Christmas gifts!
So cute! Gracie always seems to sniff her gifts out of the bag, hidden in the spare bedroom before I even have a chance to wrap them. Ha ha!

Oh yeah. They know. Their sense of smell helps them. We made the mistake one Christmas Eve with Nitro of wrapping his bed and leaving it under the tree wrapped with other gifts while we ran a quick errand. We came back and not only was his bed unwrapped but he was laying in it.

Awe poor buttercup! So many babies afraid of storms!
I thought about giving up on getting Gracie to go, but she hadn't been out since last night, Jim & I were both leaving for work so I kept trying. Good thing b/c she really did have to go! LOL!
I'm glad your anxiety is much better about storms. They can be scary! I'm usually not too overly worried until the warnings start coming out. I hear tornado warning & I join Gracie in the basement! I might sneak upstairs now & then to check things out but as long as we have a tornado warning still in effect you'll find me in the basement if I'm home!

Good Morning, Post-Milestone People/Next Milestone Searchers!

Yes, my Friends. There is always another Milestone Marker just down the road. The only question is, just how far off does it lurk?
And that's what this thread is all about. Keeping you informed of what's ahead.

Days to the Season: 80
Days to Christmas Day: 122

And just what is ahead?
Well, now. Do you think you can handle it?
Just look at that second number. It informs us in no uncertain terms that the 100-day Christmas Day Window is precisely THREE WEEKS FROM TOMORROW, after which BOTH of our counts will be in DOUBLE DIGITS.
A double-double, so to speak.
Double the excitement - double the fun.
(WOW. This is really starting to get interesting!)

Another pretty nice day here yesterday but the heat will start to build again today, and by tomorrow we are told it will be back in the mid 90's.
(Oh, well. After all, it is still August.)
Currently, we record 69 degrees here.

Have a Thrilling Thursday, Guys.
And it will be Weekend Eve again before you know it.
(Like, tomorrow!)
Thanks, Crown~
Happy Friday Eve!

Happy Thursday MMC! My old friend humidity has returned with a vengeance! I'm kinda glad he stopped by because I was one more fall like day from going on a pre-mature pumpkin spice beer binge. Now it's back to the end of summer frame of mind. :p
:D Ha! Love it!
Happy Friday Eve, Frosty! Stay cool, and have a great day!

That made me laugh out loud!! :D :p

Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends!

I worked on my part-time business until dark yesterday, and I'll have to do that today and tomorrow, maybe even some on Saturday. But, it's better than not having work to do, eh?

One of Jacob's classes is requiring him to go to an unscheduled 8am study hall, so he's been leaving the house before I do. Now that's unusual! Even more interesting, Nancy gets up to make him a cup of coffee in a tumbler for the drive. She's never offered to make my morning coffee! ;)

I hope y'all have a great day! :D
Good Morning, Brad!
Hope your PT business is going well! It sounds like it's keeping you out of trouble, at least! ;)
Have a wonderful Friday Eve!!

Morning, Holiday! Happy Friday Eve!! So exciting that it's also Rudolph Day & 4 months until Christmas Day!!!
:blinky:
Poor Gracie, they must be so scary for them. Please give her extra hugs from Harlowe & I today!
Have a wonderful day!!

Good morning snowflake! Hard to believe the BER's are 1 week away! Summer just flew right on by! I brought the weather forecast out to my co-worker this morning - he said a few explicits when he realized it was September NEXT week! LOL!
Hope you have a blessed day too!
::wave
It was a blur for us, too. A lot of it had to do with packing, moving, settling in, etc.!
LOL @ your co-worker!! ;)
Have an awesome day, lady!

Good morning HMG! Please post pics of sweet Maggie. Hope her apt goes well. Gracie was at the groomer yesterday. She must have thrown a temper tantrum any time Kelly (the groomer) walked out of the room. Kelly said she just acted different than usual. We figured it was b/c of the incoming storms. Poor girl!

Can't wait to see pics of your fall decorations! Exciting!

Hope you have a wonderful day!
Aww, poor Gracie. That does sound unlike her.
Hope she's doing better when you check on her at lunch <3
