I came across some great displays yesterday at our local Christmas shop. They opened early this year. So, maybe a little Blossoms preview?

Our Weekend is half over but our voyage to Christmas is WAAAAAY past that point!

Let's take a look at today's figures:
Days to the Season: 77
Days to Christmas Day: 119

And HARK!
Note it well.
We are now down to just 19 days to the 100-DAY SEASON WINDOW and the commencement of a double-double digit count!
(And from past experience, you well know that things begin to move fast after that. Heck! We will be well into September by then and just days away from the launch of Christmas Blossoms 2016!)


Whew! We had a 99 degree high on Friday and a 98 degree high yesterday, with sky high humidity readings pushing the heat index into triple digits.
ENOUGH! We need some saner weather and soon!
Currently, we have started here at 73 degrees and for the moment it feels fairly comfortable.

I have those jitters too. But mine are more in general the Bers jitters. I can't wait to start watching Halloween shows and football every Sunday!!

I hear ya! The last months of the year are all great for me. We don't really celebrate Halloween over here, but we do celebrate something called Sinterklaas, which is a feast that starts halfway into November and ends on December 5th. So it's fun to watch preparations for that get underway and to slowly start moving towards the Christmas month(s).

Hello all! It has been a busy week with school starting back. It was a good start back to school, no major issues. Just the normal minor irritations you find every year.
Friday night football games around the area were all delayed at about half time due to a huge line of storms which came through. The games were finished on Saturday morning. Covington, my school, won the season opener. We have a new coach this year and were playing a team that is always tough and beats us often. We are on a streak of 11 straight playoff seasons. No pressure for the new coach.
Nathan, my oldest, had his first Cross Country meet on Saturday as well. He did not run since he got a late start, but it was good for him to go and see the process for the events. He may get to run next weekend.
I just finished getting lesson plans ready for the week. I still need to do some grading today, but that is easy grading.
Things will get back to a normal routine now that we are through the first week!

We've started the Fall/Halloween/Thanksgiving/Christmas transition today.
I am so excited! Michelle and KK got all the Fall and Halloween stuff out of the attic and Michelle and I bought 5 new Christmas wreaths, and several Fall & Halloween decorating items today after church. It won't be long!

Good Sunday Morning MMC! Hope you are all excited for today. Another beautiful late summer day here. It's really hitting me now that the Bers are really going to begin on Thursday. As others have said I try to enjoy the first 8 months as much as possible but for me personally those 8 months are a buildup to my favorite 4 and we are only a handful of days till then. It's all ahead of us my friends...the best things of the year. They're about to slowly begin with September and only get better and better the more we go through the Bers. I'm just planning on a low-key day today and getting some stuff done around the house.

I am getting so excited for the Bers too my friend. Maybe too excited with kind of weather we are still having (Mid 90's thru the next 10 days and well into September). I had Michelle get some hot cocoa mix and miniature marshmallows at the grocery Friday. Wishful thinking I guess. I won't be too much longer.
