Hope little Harlowe will have a better day today after a better night. I'm going to walk Loki soon and after some chores, I think I'll watch the movie Brooklyn that I dvr'd a while back. I'm in the mood for a romantic movie. Or I have the Peanuts movie on dvr as well, but I think it will drive Loki nuts (he REALLY reacts to animals and cartoon animals on screen) so I think I'll keep that one for when he's more tired.

Too funny! Gracie goes crazy when there is an animal or animal noises on tv! Just try to watch "A Golden Christmas" with her! HA!! Enjoy the movie!

Good morning everyone. The last few days have been rough as my wife and her family have been very upset. Her uncle was killed in a motorcycle accident last week. Today is the funeral. Hate seeing them hurting. It was my father-in-law's brother and it just breaks my heart to see my FIL so torn up.

Okay, enough sad news! Y'all have a good second to last day of August! Hope your day goes wonderful.

And it's a goood Tuesday morning everyone. Hope you're having one yourself.

I feel like I'm fully back into the swing of things now with all of the kids back in school. Last night as we had dinner I got to hear about school, new friends and new experiences. Since it was London's first day in college it was her turn to have her favorite meal. She loves my veggie lasagna and I baked her a double chocolate fudge cake for dessert. Tonight's meal will be quick chicken nuggets, broccoli and mashed potatoes but I'll prep tomorrow's meal of a turkey meatloaf so all London will have to do is pop it in the oven right before I get home and I fix a quick side and veggie. I like to have my meals on Wednesday be as stress free as possible for evening bible study and Master Club at church so I prep the night before.

I'm trying to determine how I will celebrate 'ber season on Thursday. Tossing ideas around for now and even that is fun. lol

She said she does get a headache when it's really hot & she goes from the AC at Moms to her very warm house, but she never complains! She says she likes the wringer washer at home better than electric washing machines, but she sure uses moms a lot! She is a sweetheart!

Anyone have any big/fun plans for the long holiday weekend (as holiday says it's never too early to start thinking about the weekend).

We're taking our annual Labor Day camping trip. We get an extra night this year because DD doesn't have school on Friday. Can't wait! When we get back on Monday, I hope to get out the little bit of fall decor that I have.

Enjoy your walk & movie! I haven't heard of that one before, I'll have to check it out. I watched Serendipity last week-I love that movie.

That's interesting that Loki reacts to cartoons, Har does with real animals but not cartoons. Unless she hears a bark

Good Monday Morning to ya MMC!
I trust everyone had a great weekend. It was a hot one here from Monday til yesterday and today it's supposed to reach somewhere around 90. There's a fickle rumor going around that Thursdays the temps are supposed to be in the low 80's with a bit of rain that will pave the way for temps to stay in the low 80's for the weekend.

I took off on this past Friday to get somethings done to free up my already busy Saturday. So everything got done and it feels good. Now we find ourselves right back at Monday already looking forward to the long weekend ahead of us.

Today was London's first day of college! And she's got her first real job interview at the mall for Victoria's Secret. She didn't apply for a job there but apparently they are owned by the same company that owns Bath & Body where she did apply and that's where they got her information. She's excited about the call back and the prospect of gaining experience and most importantly having her own money!!! I'm excited for all of the above and for the discounts I can rack up! Hey a momma has got to consider that the holidays are approaching and I could save serious cash for gifts for friends and family. LOL

My girls had a good first day of classes, everything went smoothly. I'm sure they will be settled in to their new schedules in no time.
I had quite a scare this afternoon. Maggie somehow ended up falling in to the pool. I had to jump in, clothes and all, to get her. That never, ever happened before. Thankfully I was watching her and got to her as fast as I could. It took her a few minutes to stop coughing and calm down but she seemed fine afterward. I think I was more upset than she was. My youngest was with me at the time and of course she's laughing about it now. I could only imagine what I looked like...
Anyway, I hope everyone had a nice day. See you in the morning, goodnight!

How scary for you HMG!! I would have been a wreck too..so happy you were out there. My friend's blind cocker spaniel fell in their pool this summer and she did the same thing as you...jumped in with her clothes on and she was a complete wreck. You think of all the worst things that could happen.

Two more days of August, and two more days of 90 degree heat until a half-week of low 80s! Perfect way to start the most wonderful time of the year! Looking forward to good things coming up this week with you! I've already seen pumpkin spice things out in the stores and Halloween items taking more prominence. It's so great to see and to enjoy! It's going to fly by. I'm soaking in every ray of sun and every hint of gold starting on a leaf! Have a great one!

Good Tuesday morning to all! I have a day off, much needed after a busy weekend at the store. Looking forward to a 3-day weekend coming up. Not a lot planned but there will definitely be a movie day or night somewhere in there. Today I'm only doing some chores around the appartment and then I'll relax. Right now I'm having a lazy morning and I have Loki next to me dreaming, legs twitching and all. Have a great day everyone!

My shoulder is a little more sore this morning, but I think that can be expected and my range of motion has increased. PT may be painful, but worth it.

Nothing to do today except rest and pay some bills. Tonight Michelle and I are going to the mall and out to eat at the Bone Fish Grill. Yum!
