Good 'berrrrrrr Morning, Friends!

Continuing to advance, we are.
Onward -- every onward -- to that Holy Grail of the year for all MMC members -- Christmas Season 2016!

Days to the Season: 73
Days to Christmas Day: 115

Our next Milestone Marker?
Well, it's the 100-DAY CHRISTMAS DAY WINDOW, and that point will be reached on September 16, just TWO WEEKS FROM TOMORROW!
It's one of three things to look forward to this month:
1) The 100-day Christmas Day Window
2) The 3/4 mark to Christmas Day
3).......well, I think you know!


A bit warmer and more humid yesterday but still not too bad a day to close out the month of August.
Today should be warmer with a good chance of thunderstorms, then much cooler for Friday.
Continuing to monitor the new tropical storm in the Gulf which is supposed to come our way by late tomorrow into Saturday. We were planning a trip to the coast for the Labor Day weekend but may have to cancel or delay.
Right now, we show 75 degrees here.

Happy September folks! I know what "the most wonderful time of the year" is for many of us, but this truly is it for me. Christmas is amazing, but to me, it's nothing without the build up of the fall, with the chilling of the weather and the turning of the leaves, with the football game on all weekend, with pumpkins and cinnamon and apples...we've been counting down for a long time some of us, and here we are. I hope it begins incredibly well for us all!

I've got work and more training for my half marathon today. Nothing major. I'm pretty tired-husband was on call and I just haven't slept super great this week. Hoping for an early night tonight!

Totally agree with you. Without September/October then November/December wouldn't be as special as they are. Love the fact we get 4 months to be in the 'Bers!

I Agree! The 'Bers are the most wonderful time of the year collectively, they contain our favorite holidays, beautiful weather, moments, and traditions -such a lovely journey!

Can't believe the 'Bers are here. Our favorite time of the year. Looking forward to cooler weather, cozy sweaters, comfort food, the decorations. And Christmas right around the corner. I hope everyone enjoys every minute of this beautiful season <3

I completely agree! The build up is half the fun. If the weather over here would start cooling down, that would help for my build up even more. I hope you have a great Thursday!

Good Thursday Morning MMC! Happy September and of course Happy 'Bers! We begin the best 4 months of the year today. As many have stated as much as we all love Christmas time the build to it during the 'Bers and all the fun amazing things we have (i.e. football season, cooler weather, apple pie, Halloween, etc. etc.) lead us to that through these wonderful amazing and best months of the year. Today I'm going to take a long lunch break. We are taking Rollins to our vet for a checkup. Hoping he gets mostly a positive review.

Just got word our neighbor lady at the lake passed away this morning! #@&^ cancer! Her significant other has had a trailer close to us for years. They started dating probably close to 10 years ago. He left a message on my phone this morning wanting me to let everyone know. He was so upset. The poor guy! Hate it!

I'm so sorry Holiday. I'm praying for y'all and her partner and their family.

Good morning MMC! Happy Hump Day, Merry Pines Day, Happy last day of August! (how did that happen?!)

I had a fun night last night doing a little grocery & dollar store shopping! I was at the dollar store to pick up a few things for Mom when I decided to take a little stroll down the "Fall" aisle. It's not much but I picked up a few little things to add to my collection...

I thought they were pretty cute for a couple/few bucks! I'm not decorated for fall at home yet, but of course these things are out already - I wasn't going to put them away at this point in the game!
