Christmas Countdown - 2016

Rise, shine, sip that tea and read the latest numbers release:
Days to the Season: 72
Days to Christmas Day: 114

And the 100-day Christmas Day Window?
Well, it's just TWO WEEKS FROM TODAY!
(Believe it or not.)
Then, of course, a double-double digit count!


Still on the warm and humid side yesterday but the big news is the approach of Hurricane Hermine which struck the Florida gulf coast last night and is predicted to range on across eastern North Carolina.
Of course, it will not be at hurricane force, but even a tropical storm can cause problems. We are continuing to monitor it's approach.
Currently, we have ominous-looking storm clouds and a temperature reading of 76 degrees here.

For the rest of my holiday heroes and heroines... Friday greetings to one and all. I will not have much going on this weekend (though I am off on Sunday and Labor Day Monday). However, the next weekend is the full schedule kick off to the new NFL season. I always try to relax and take in the first week. For the rest of the year, I try, but usually fail due to something that needs attention one place or another. And on that note, let's see who Santa is pulling for this 2016 season...

Happy Friday!! Looking forward to the long weekend. I heard that we may get rain Sunday and Monday....50% chance each day so who knows?? Hope you all have a great day!

Hopefully the rain holds off for us all, enough to get outside & grill, enjoy the nice weather, etc. -it's the Labor Day curse!

Thinking of everyone in the path of Hermine and hoping everyone will be safe.
Also thinking of Hawaii, which was just affected by a tropical storm (formerly a hurricane), and has another one on the way---a one-two storm punch.

We have a gorgeous day here with a cloudless, baby-blue sky and high temps to just brush 80F. The office is supposed to close early today, but that doesn't always hold true for my department. We'll see what happens! It's been a busy workweek for both of us, so we're sure looking forward to the holiday weekend.

PT is has been great. My range of motion increases with each visit. Thankfully the pain is manageable with just Aleve.
