Christmas Countdown - 2016

Hello Everyone,
Happy start to the "BER" season, Happy Labor Day weekend, and Happy Birthday to me! Today's my birthday!
Started the day by sleeping in a bit, Ryan made all of us breakfast, we went to the playground, and now we are leaving to grab some birthday burritos.
I am so happy the weekend is here. I can sit down and catch up on here again. I cannot believe this week went by so fast!

Thanks everyone! We're keeping a close eye on Hermine, we'll be feeling the effects of the storm Sunday in to Monday. I'm not going to let it spoil our holiday. I'm going to make a big food shopping trip tomorrow so we'll have everything we need in the house. If we can't be outside, we'll just stay in and have just as good of a time!

Am I ever glad this day/week is over. I feel completely drained of energy right now. Hubby is at a friend's tonight so it's just Loki and me, and my pillow is calling me already and it's only 7pm. Hope everyone will enjoy their weekend, even better if it's a long one.

Wind's picking up along with the rain but conditions still aren't bad here in central NC.
Glad I'm not at the coast, although that's where we are planning to go tomorrow afternoon once the tropical storm has passed!

And what I just posted brings me to a

** TRAVEL ALERT **

We are planning to head for the cottage tomorrow afternoon for the Labor Day weekend and need a substitute poster for Sunday and Monday mornings.
(We are keeping our fingers crossed we will not see damage. These type storms cost us some porch screens and a few shingles from time to time.)
