Merry Wednesday.

Back to school today for us. It's my youngest's first day of school. I can't believe it. It's such a big milestone. He was so brave and excited. I teared up but he just happily waved me good bye LOL. It seems like just yesterday he started nursery last September. They will be doing half days (like nursery) for this week to help them settle in and full days begin next week.

Thank you for the well wishes for Miley. The vet says it's an allergy so she should be fine.

Well I better get some stuff done before I pick up the kids.

We watched first episode of Stranger Things last night. Very enjoyable and love the tone and atmosphere. Won't say anymore In case anyone plans on starting.

Just another quick run through of the posts tonight. I am not feeling right the last few days, I am just incredibly fatigued. I get home and nap, can barely stay awake after that. I plan on going to work tomorrow, hoping I will feel more energetic. I may have to call my Dr on Thursday.

Happy Pines! Dreary day here today but it is supposed to warm up to the 80s. Andre vomited last night and this morning he is not eating. He is acting fine so he must just have an upset stomach. I think I will try to make him some chicken and rice and see if that helps him.

Warm yesterday, but without the oven-like impact we experienced late last month.
No rain in the forecast for a while but the heat should be gradually increasing for the next few days.

Carl wishes it to be announced that tonight's open house will be very special, with the theme of "Feel the 'Bers".
(Uh, huh. I get it.)
There will be a pre-fall theme complete with appropriate decorations to get us in the mood for Autumn (which, of course, will be upon us two weeks from tomorrow).

Good Wednesday Morning MMC! Happy Pines Day! First Pines of the 'Bers! Driving to work today took me an extra 15 minutes because it's the first day of school. I don't mind. I love seeing the kids walking to school with their parents. Can you guys believe we're already 1 week into September? To me, at least it seems it's slowed a little from the summer. I am looking forward to the NFL tomorrow. Everything is exciting this time of year! No wonder we love these months the most!

My afternoon off yesterday was nice. Gracie & I went out to the lake. Hubby & I went out for Mexican for supper. Then we had to stop at Moms b/c Miss Emma made me some really nice birthday treats... pumpkin bars with cream cheese icing, some spicy cheese dip, & she gave me a jar of her home canned peach pie filling, and a nice card. She's so thoughtful! Of course she had a gag gift in there which involved a green tomato & my dads false teeth. That girl!!

Everyone, have a great day. How am I possibly going to work a full day today? Ha ha!!!

Good afternoon ... got the hallway and kids bedroom carpets steamed cleaned and took our over sized comforter down to the laundrymat to wash, it was way to big to fit in our washer and dryer. Good Lord laundrymats are expensive. Got the heat vets cleaned out ... just in time too as it looks like we will have to turn the AC back on for a few days. Temps back into the 90s for the end of the week and half the weekend. Its been so nice having the windows opened and the fresh air blowing through the house. I am so over the 90 degree temps. I want the fall temps to stay for a while.

Since labor day weekend has officially come and gone I think I may put my fall flag out and place my fall wreath on my door. Was going to wait until later this month but .....

Well got the ham in the in oven, guess I should start working on the sides in a few.

I put the leaves in my windows at the lake last night! Doesn't seem right when it's 90º but I like it anyway!
Have fun decorating! Hope the ham was delicious.

I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!! I ran errands all morning and then took mom for a doctor's appointment. Whew is it hot out there and tomorrow is going to be even worse. Hurry up fall!!!!

[Holiday]

It's naptime at work, so I'm trying to come up with a rough schedule of our holiday happenings (which is such a 70s word, I love using it lol). This would be a lot easier if I have my hardcopy planner with me lol! So far I know we're doing cookies, gingerbread houses, going up to the mountains to see snow, doing winterhaven (a neighborhood in our town dedicated to putting up huge light displays, and the public can tour them either on foot, in a horse drawn carriage, or a trolley! It's magical and I love it), and I'm trying to find a nice church we can go to for a Christmas service that's more singing then preaching. We don't practice any religion but some of my favorite Christmas memories are going to church with my grandma and singing the songs and drinking a tiny cup of Walsh's grape juice and eating the 'Jesus cookie', as my cousin calls it.
